When was the last time you had the best year of your life? 🥹

Not without its tremendous challenges, this year has been sublime. The highlights made brighter because we have seen darker days. We know we are incredibly lucky. Healthy, happy kids. A marriage that is just so much fun. Friends who are like family and family who are dear friends. Chaotic balance. Daily goofiness. Coffee in bed before the sun rises. An anxious heart given peace. Despite the world’s infinite reasons to mourn, and perhaps because of them, we are deeply happy and, above all, grateful.

For them, many years from now.

Photographing couples and families over and over again isn’t about narrative, it’s about nuance. Each session, each photo tells more of your story because not only do I know you, but now? I know THEM. 👧 👦 👶

I sometimes cry my way through the edits of my dear and precious Bilodeau Family; each milestone a memory. Nine years of knowing and photographing Abbey and Evan, and many more to come.
