Brock put up with my crazy ideas and was a true champ, just as all his track medals show. Can’t wait to get this album edited and out!

Life has been a little crazy around here and I'm behind but catching up as fast as I can!
We have a treatment plan in place which means we have a schedule for our KC trips and are able to attempting to settle into our new "normal".

I have a list of albums that are going out this weekend so keep an eye on your email for notification if you are waiting on your session still.

If we still need to get you on the calendar, shoot me a message! I think I have my list correct and will be reaching out to those on there but it never hurts to message me!

Most of you who follow or like the page are also friends with me on FB and in life but I know a few of you are not and may have been wondering where I’ve been lately.

To make a long story short, the beginning of October my husband, Brad, wasn’t feeling 100%. Nothing major we thought but what he was experiencing wouldn’t go away. After a trip to the doctor and discovering his liver enzymes were off the charts a whirlwind of MRI’s, test, labs, biopsies and more left behind the reason for him not feeling very well; he has Pancreatic Cancer.

Since those words were said to us, life has been hectic. We spent 5 days in the hospital with pancreatitis, have experienced an outpouring of love and prayers that has been humbling, comforting and amazing. We have a referral to MD Anderson but he is also in the process of being accepted into a new trial through KU Med in Kansas City.
That’s where I’m writing this from. A prep room, waiting for his port to be placed after being admitted to the hospital on Monday after meeting with the oncologist who is facilitating the trial. Yes a little hurdle but nothing we can’t leap over and are.

I am behind on editing. Like BIG time. One would think by being in the hospital I would have time. Yep I would if I would have thought to grab the external drive with my raw pictures on it. I will be working like crazy to get edits done and get existing shoots out this weekend and the first part of the week. Please have a little bit of grace with me. This is one curveball we never saw coming but one we are not going to strike out on.

As for upcoming shoots, I’m not cancelling or rescheduling anything at this time. We still do not know when treatment will start and what days they will be on. I may have to shift some depending on how those dates fall but I will be notifying you asap if any treatments will interfere with your session.

One thing we are sticking to is keeping things as normal as possible so once I do know our schedule, I will be posting my remaining available for now until the first of December for any photography needs you may need.

I so appreciate each and everyone of you and look forward to getting my drive in my hands so I can finish edits. If you have any questions, message me.
