Let's create something beautiful together. www.heiditimmons.com Hi! My name is Heidi. My friends call me Heidi. I love to laugh.

I'm just this red headed girl who lives in a small town at the tippy-top of Oregon. I get to be a wife to a ridiculously handsome man who likes to be a cowboy on most days {Who can resist a sweet and amazing man in good jeans and a cowboy hat? The answer is NO ONE!} I also get to be a mama to the cutest little pistol of a girl, Ada. She is my whole entire heart. I love these two so much it hurts m

y heart. They are the best things that have ever happened in my life. I love being with my people. I love being in nature, I love my worn in cowboy boots. I love coffee. Like, I love coffee a little more than a person should love coffee... I also collect silly coffee mugs. They make me smile every morning when I pour a cup. I feel like great coffee in a funny mug is pretty much the best way to start a morning and set the tone for your day. I also take photographs. I make images. They are important and they mean something. I am really grateful that so many wonderful people trust me to capture moments in their lives and create art. I love that I get to be a little part of people's lives and they have my portraits forever to remember the sweetness of their life. Here are some things I can promise you from our time together: I will treat you and your loved ones like you are my family. You are important to me and our time together is a big deal. We will laugh. If you have a newborn baby, I will kiss that baby and smell the top of their sweet baby head. I won't stop until I think we have had the best session. I will hug you when we say goodbye. I want us to be a part of each other lives forever and I will do everything I can to make our time together memorable and unforgettable in the best way. Thank you for stopping by and taking a some time to learn a little more about me! With Love,
Heidi {Timmons or Helser, you choose!}

These past few years have had me saying something more and more often...

"I met you when you were 5, and now I'm taking your senior portraits."

That sentence gets me every single time.

I can't believe I've been doing this long enough to watch so many of your kids grow up. It also makes me realize just how lucky I am to have clients who keep coming back and trusting me with each new chapter.

I never expected that when I started this business, I'd get to be part of your stories for so many years. It's something I don't take for granted.

Aiden is no different, I met him when he was a little guy and now he's a whole grown man, no matter what his age though, he has always been the sweetest and most chill guy. Thanks so much for letting me document your senior year, Aiden!

I really do love spending time with your kids.

I love the hilarious conversations, the unexpected moments, the sweet little connections that happen, and getting to see each personality come out. Kids always bring their own ideas to a session, some of their posing suggestions absolutely crack me up, and sometimes they're actually really great!

One thing we can all count on about photo sessions is that they are unpredictable. We can make a plan, but once little personalities get involved, we're mostly just rolling with it and following the vibes.

Sometimes kids are shy. Sometimes they're wild. Sometimes they're making the funniest faces you've ever seen. Sometimes they're giving me shifty eyes, weird smiles, Spider Man web shooter hands, pouts, or their very best mean mugs.

And you know what?

I love all of it.

Because every single session has little treasures tucked inside it.

So when they're chatting me up, exploring, collecting sticks, finding bugs, or negotiating Smarties with me... and you're wondering if we're getting anything... don't.

I promise we are.

Those moments are part of your story, too. They tell me who your child is right now, and that's exactly what I want you to remember years from now.

And you know what?
It all works out.

Always.

A friend shared yesterday that the wildfires are burning dangerously close to Smith Rock, and ever since then I've found myself constantly searching for updates, hoping to see some good news.

I was just there.

Just a couple of weeks ago I was standing beneath those big, towering rocks, photographing some incredible seniors and families, taking it all in, and breathing in that unmistakable Central Oregon air. If you've ever been to Smith Rock, you know what I mean. There's something about that place that's hard to describe. It's breathtaking, but it's more than that. It has this quiet, peaceful feeling that settles over you the moment you arrive. No matter how many times I visit, it still leaves me in awe.

As I watch these fires spread, I can't help but wonder if those July sessions will be the last ones I'll get to photograph there for a while. That thought is absolutely heartbreaking.

My heart is with everyone impacted by these fires. The families who have had to evacuate, the firefighters working around the clock, and all of the wildlife being forced from their homes.

Smith Rock is one of Oregon's greatest treasures, and I'm holding onto hope that somehow it will be protected. Hoping for cooler weather, calmer winds, rain... anything that helps.

Please keep Central Oregon in your thoughts today.
