That's my goal for 2022!

To meet and get to know 33 amazing couples as I support them and capture the moments of their wedding day. To make 66 new, wonderful friends!

Looking back and looking forward. Here is one of my favorite pictures from way back when! and I became instant friends during her shoot- so much so that it ended with a trip to an icecream shop where we both got large shakes! 😂 It was so easy to love her! I'm so blessed to say I still feel the same high regard as I did today all those years ago! .. and I think I need to go get some ice cream 😉

Happy Almost-Thanksgiving! So a picture of food is fine right? 😅 I believe the healing power of gratitude is real! In the past, whenever people would suggest gratitude as an antidote I would roll my eyes. I remember as a teenager in my church youth group at camp one summer our leaders gave us rubber bands to wear around our wrists that said "attitude of gratitude" and we were supposed to pull them and snap our wrists any time we were thinking negatively or complaining about our situations and try and remember to be grateful. I hated that rubber band cause I realized if I would have actually snapped my wrist every time I had a negative thought I would have probably had a fresh red scar by the end of camp. But now with many years of life under my belt.. I realized those youth camp leaders had been right all along. Gratitude is the key to radical freedom from the victim mentality that negative thinking and complaining always supply. It's so simple most of us dont believe it will work. We want complicated solutions to our complicated problems. But it really can be that simple. Change your thoughts, change your life. 🙌🏼

Ah! 🤯😁😳🤩 the ball is rolling and there is no calling it back now 😅 We are back on and this time... as well! With every new lead I am feeling so grateful + very excited to get behind the camera and in front of tremendous people like the Carroccio's (and all of my other brides not in this picture😉) again🥰

Many warn of the dangers of social media because the idealized "realities" alter our perception as we make debilitating comparisons. I agree 100%. Selfies, filters, cropping.. we are able to control down to the minute detail what we look like, or what we want people to "think" we look like. But can I tell you my favorite thing?
My favorite thing is that all of my clients take a huge leap of faith by putting the camera in MY HANDS. They can't see what they look like the way they can while taking a selfie. It must be a very vulnerable feeling I'm sure!
I love taking that vulnerability and showing them the reality that I SEE.
No smoke and no mirrors. Just them, exactly the way they are.

In case you needed a reminder. You. You exactly as you are. No smoke and mirrors. The bare, true, vulnerable you- It is MORE than enough- it's everything.
