Happy Halloween!

I hope you're as relieved as I am for it to finally be here so it can go away, haha. I think I'm ready to admit that I really don't love Halloween... LOVE fall. Halloween... not so much.

I don't hate it, per se. But I dislike the pressure to have a great costume and I'm ready for my kids to just be something easy or at least pick a costume that's less than $50.

There. I said it.

And now I'm off to watch 2 different costume parades.

You will never regret having family pictures taken. Just look at those faces! They will never look like this again. ****...

Hey, mama.

When you're prepping for your family pictures and you're getting stressed out because everyone is grumbling the whole day and you're worried that you'll even get any good pictures - take a deep breath, and trust your photographer.

Let the kids be kids. Let them talk my ear off as we hike to the rocks. I'm being honest when I say I LOVE THIS. I love that they want to talk to me and tell me about their day. It's my favorite. And bonus: it means we're friends by the time we actually start your session and that means I'll get real reactions and expressions from them, or I can at least tease it out of them.

I can usually get a good read on their personalities in the 5 minute walk. Don't worry that they're bugging me. Don't be embarrassed by their behavior.

I love my job and I love to get you the photos that make you gasp when you see them. I can't do that if you're shushing them or trying to correct their behavior. Let them make the fart noises and be silly. I promise I can handle it.
