Lifestyle family photos are always some of my favorites to take, especially when they're with repeat clients/friends 🤍✨Sometimes the unposed/more natural, just hanging out sessions turn up some of the best photos.

Got to squeeze in this family photo session while I was home in Wisconsin a couple weeks ago. Fun to see how the littles grow so fast in between sessions and how much personality they have! 🥰

One for the books 📸💍💒

Hannah and Alex - thank you, again, for choosing Rustic Outlook to capture your special day's memories. A beautiful, late September wedding day, with a lucky cloud at the end to capture more beautiful photos - we could not have asked for a better day. So much more to come and words to say, but wanted to get this sneak peek out at least asap!

I've known Shania's family for many years - I started off as their bartender in the Holyland, and they welcomed me in like family of their own. Shania's Mom, Tracy Hochrein, is like an older sister and one of my close friends. I watched her kids all go through high school, many graduations, and other life moments. But this one was pretty special 🤍

Shania's boyfriend, Dakota, reached out to me a couple weeks ago after seeing them at the county fair. He said he wanted to propose to Shania, but he didn't want anyone to know, and was wondering if I could offer a "couples photoshoot" to them as a housewarming gift so she wouldn't get suspicious 🤣 (if you know Shania, she pays attention to any and all details/actions/etc.) Of course, I agreed and said I would make time to fit it in while I was home this round. The whole week, he was super nervous - He was convinced she knew but then played it off a few times throughout the week. After multiple messages back and forth, we had a plan and were convinced we could still pull it off.

It started off at our local ball diamond, where these two met. We then went to the infamous St. Cloud bridge, and finished up on some family property - where Dakota successfully popped the big question! We then had to figure out a way to surprise Shania's sister, Kiara, and Tracy. Tracy's husband, Scott, and Kiara's boyfriend, Quintin, successfully kept the two of them at home and mostly unsuspecting. The look on their faces when we pulled off that surprise too, was priceless.

Dakota - thank you so much for including me on this special moment for you guys. It's hard splitting my time between my Wisconsin/Holyland life and my life out West and I've had to miss so many things or celebrate through a phone. Thankfully, I didn't have to do that for this and this session was so special to me. I am so happy for you both! 🤍💍📸

As I gear up to catch a flight home to Wisconsin, I cannot thank my clients enough for choosing me to be apart of their family memories and giving me a reason to catch a flight 1200 miles away. I am so excited to capture one of my favorite couple’s special day, a repeat family session for another client and another couple session as a housewarming gift this weekend. Blessed to live this life 🤍✈️📸

1299 photos in under 3 days to go through 😅 Take a look and see who you can find 👀 (and please feel free to share/tag so they see it!)

If you don't know much about me, my family and I grew up showing dairy cattle and pigs at our county fair and many district/state/and even national levels a time or two. Our County Fair has been a tradition in my family since I was born - and everyone that knows me, knows my love for the Sheb Co Expo. I could write a book about that but I'll spare you... for now.

A fellow 4-Her and photographer, Katie Reineking from Dusty Boots Photography, asked if I was going to be around Fair weekend to possibly help take some overall Fair photos! I couldn't say no to showcasing our Fair - especially on it's 175th anniversary! Thank you Katie for thinking of me! And a big thank you to Momma Gail for being a Rustic Outlook associate until I could make it in for the weekend!

I work seasonally in Montana, and just hopped off a flight from Wisconsin this afternoon and had to edit a few to share with you all. More to come soon!

Where has the Summer gone?! I know I haven't posted much on here, let alone even really picked up a camera the last few months!

I was recently informed by my dear friend, Tj Spoonhunter, that I had not been to the West Yellowstone Rodeo yet this Summer (just to attend or take photos like I did last year) - other than one night I had to work out there. I didn't realize in the busy-ness of Summer that this week is the last week of the rodeo for the season, so I promised I would be there. The weather was definitely not the greatest (50 degrees and raining), but I tried my best to make it work. Crazy how fast this Summer season has gone! 😭 Always a great show and a great time with this bunch!

From the plains of Nebraska, to the mountains of Montana - meet the Thody family!

Emily and Everrett are close friends of mine here out West. Despite the fact Everrett is like another annoying little brother, he actually was one of the first friends I made and numbers I saved. He tells it like it is (which I appreciate about him), and is always willing to help another out - we like to call him the Town Mayor of West Yellowstone. He's helped me with car problems, taken me to the gun range to get better at using my pistol, and is always making us laugh. Emily is his saint of a girlfriend and one of the kindest souls. She's always willing to share her funny tourist work stories and always includes me as a drop off when she makes some yummy supper or dessert. She's from Nebraska and her family was recently out here to visit - we had talked about doing family photos and I'm so glad it worked out! We had a really sunny evening, but made the best of it! Her nephew was hilarious, and it was so nice to meet her whole family!

I'm always thankful to capture moments like these for my friends, but I'm really thankful to have found friends like Everrett and Emily on my adventure out West 🤍

Coming from a divorced/blended family myself, where family events and milestones aren't always the easiest, it's something special to see blended families that get along so well together🤍

I have been friends with Liz for probably almost 10 years (since I had started working at Fat Boys back in the day🤣). Her stepson, Braeden, recently graduated from college this past weekend in Montana! I remember we met up out here when Tyler and Lizzie first moved him into college, which was also my first year here seasonally. So when Lizzie reached out to do family photos for them, I thought, have I really been back and forth between Wisconsin and Montana that long already that he's graduating college?! It was so nice to meet the rest of the entire family (Tanya, John, Grandpa Dan, Grandma Amy, Aunt Missy), see their support for Braeden, and get to capture these moments for them.

We battled some BRIGHT ass sun, zero clouds, with a lot of blue eyes, but I absolutely LOVE how these turned out. We know how much boys/men usually loathe taking photos, but these guys were all pros at it! Thank you so much, Lizzie, for thinking of me, no matter the distance. Braeden - congratulations!!! I know this experience was life changing for you and you will do great things!

Doing my best to document my bestie's baby's life and adventures! It was Cate's 37th birthday the other day and we celebrated all weekend in Tennessee with our other bestie, Brittney. Catie had an all-inclusive bday weekend and part of the gift we gave her was a family photo session with everyone. Britt's two kiddos are such great big cousins! Catie wanted to document her babe's first time in Nashville, so we decided to take photos on the pedestrian bridge downtown, where you can see the city skyline🤍
