I miss showing up personally on this platform and it not being just about work. I’ve had a lot of you message us about how RV life is going so I thought I’d put together a little bit about this chapter so far. 🫶🏼

1. You really don’t need as much as you think you do.
Less space has made us realize just how much stuff we had that we really didn’t need. There’s something freeing about living with less. 🥹

2. You can still make a tiny space feel like YOUR home.
A little paint, some decor, cozy bedding, family photos and a few projects later, and this little space is genuinely starting to feel like us.

3. The whole RV becomes the kids’ playroom.
You can give them their own adorable little play space, but somehow the toys will still migrate into every available square inch. 😆

4. You will never need a sound machine again.
Because apparently RV air conditioners were designed to recreate the soothing sounds of standing next to an airplane engine. 😮‍💨 Turn that AC on and the whole family is sleeping through ANYTHING!

5. Something WILL break.
Not might. Will. 😂 If you’re considering RV life, either become handy or marry someone willing to crawl underneath the RV every other week while you stand outside asking, “Sooo… can you fix it?” My favorite liner is “Where there is a Will, there is a way.” & thank God the Lord provided me with a Will 🥹😂

6. We spend SO much more time outside. 🌿

7. Homeschooling doesn’t need a classroom.
Sometimes school happens at the table. Sometimes on the couch. Sometimes outside. Such a sweet reminder that learning can happen anywhere!

8. Everything needs a home.
And I mean EVERYTHING. 😂 Baskets, bins, hooks…have become very important members of this family!!

9. Living smaller has made us live closer.
There are definitely moments that it feels like 5 people in 43 feet of living space 🤣 but we have more little moments that I feel would’ve been missed before.

10. God can make a home anywhere. 🫶🏼
The biggest thing this season has taught us. Home was never about square footage or the things we owned. It’s about walking with God & trusting Him even in seasons that look completely different than what we expected. 🙏🏼

A little throwback to a sunset elopement I had the honor of photographing during the season we called Hawai‘i home. That island had some of the most amazing backdrops I’d ever seen!

& I’m excited to say I’ll be back on island December 14-23! ✈️🌴

If you’re on island and have been wanting updated family photos, couples photos, an anniversary session, maternity photos, or you’re planning an intimate elopement — I would absolutely love to photograph you while I’m there.

There’s something so special about a first touch. 🤍

You still get to save that first look for the aisle, but you also get a few quiet minutes together before the ceremony—to hold hands, breathe, exchange letters or gifts, and soak in the fact that you’re about to get married!

These two chose to exchange gifts during their first touch, and their reactions are still some of my favorite moments from their wedding day. 🥹 It gave them space to laugh, get emotional, and just be together for a minute before everything began.

But there’s an even sweeter reason I wanted to pull these photos back out…

Just a few weeks ago, I got to photograph these two again—only this time, they weren’t just bride + groom.

They’re mom + dad. 🤍😭🥹

Getting to document you on your wedding day is already such a gift, but getting invited back into your lives to photograph your family that grew from marriage? I don’t think that will ever stop being special to me.
