The last time I posted a picture of myself was in 2023. A lot has changed. I’m now doing photography full time. Mostly weddings, but I do a lot of product and portraiture too! Working from home means a lot of time with my cats, audiobooks and laundry….laundry literally never ends. Sometimes I bring the laptop to a coffee shop and edit. I had a mental breakdown in January with all that was and still is going on in Minnesota and then some health issues, so I’m just starting to get back into routine this year. I am happy that winter is making its way out and spring birds are chirping outside my window again. Just enough grass touching to keep my sanity while we fight the good fight against all this trans hate and anti lgbtq legislation and pedos running free and this stupid stupid war. There are almost too many horrific things going on to make a difference in any of them, and yet I volunteer, create art and spend my money in places that count. I just want everyone who is booking with me to know where I stand, to know what I stand for, and to know a bit about me. Empathy is still cool and we can make this world a more peaceful place if we keep fighting the system! Love to you all!!!

As I stood around the corner, I glanced outside and noticed the mother of the groom pinning the boutonniere on her son. A moment that would not have changed the day if I had missed it. It is not a photo meant for the wall. It is not one I originally shared online. Yet it is a story moment. An uninterrupted breath of the day. I was a quiet observer, not stepping in, not interrupting, simply witnessing something real.

Lovely photographs, artsy and full of joy ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
We decided to get married fairly quickly, and somehow we got so lucky in finding Hannah to do our photography. Hannah met us at a local coffee shop to get an idea about what we wanted in our wedding photos, and she really nailed it! Our pictures were whimsical, magical, and artsy. She used layers and light so well, and was able to capture a lot of my shy friends in moments of true candid happiness. I really wanted a set of family photos, since I don’t know when I’ll ever get my family together in such nice attire ever again, and she made sure we got every last photo we wanted and then some. From serious to funny, we got everything. Photos of the cake, the rings, the flowers, just everything. We also did a post-wedding photo shoot, rather than an engagement announcement shoot, in one of our favorite sculpture parks. We really trusted her as an artist, and we got exactly what we wanted.
