Have you ever been to a betrothal ceremony? No? Well, neither have I until I was invited to capture one for one of my 2027 bridal couples! 😊

The Rite of Betrothal serves as a promise and a blessing to mark the beginning of an engagement. It has deep roots in the Church, and although not very common in modern times, it's a beautiful way to surrender your engagement to the Lord.

So we gathered after dusk, in the church these two will be married in, with their immediate family and a few friends for this short ceremony. I was so happy I could be there to capture these images.

Pray for all those who are discerning marriage, preparing for marriage, and are married, that they may follow Jesus in all things, serve one another sacrificially, and stand firm with the Lord as their foundation.

Genesis 2:24 "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife"

The role of the parents on the wedding day mean something different to me now that I am a parent. It's the bittersweet reality that your baby (who it seems just a moment ago was being held in your arms as an infant) is now called to become one with another; to look towards their spouse instead of their parent for primary support.

It's beautiful and yet painful at the same time.

Like most sacrificial love, it's a death to self as you will the good of the other.

I have personally known this bride's family for nearly a decade and the love this dad has for his kiddos is something beautiful to behold. Such sweet moments before his baby girl leaves for the night with her new husband, the new man entrusted to love and care for her until death.

Although no one ever replaces the role of father or mother, it changes and shifts. Hugs to all the parents who cheer their kiddos on while simultaneously watching part of their heart living outside their bodies.

I LOVED this couple's first touch before their wedding. It created such anticipation for her walking down the aisle. But what I loved most was their intentionality.

She gifted him with cuff links with the Auspice Maria on them, they prayed together, and then finished their Marian consecration right there at the side altar.

All of these beautiful acts were such a reflection of how they love the Lord Jesus and place Him at the center of their lives with the desire to place Him at the center of their union.

I am so blessed to have been witness to such beautiful love!

Oh my, has the summer flown by! I am so grateful for all of my clients who entrust me to capture their special moments and memories!

I am currently at capacity for August and September.

Because I cull and edit all of my sessions by hand, many, many hours are put into creating a beautiful finished gallery for every session. With 4 kiddos and only so many hours in the day, I am not able to take on any additional sessions right now.

There is still some availability in November and December and then 2027!

I finally got a chance to take portaits at this iconic spot on Saint Anthony Main. These two cuties did such a great job, and I am so happy with the results!

I will admit, I was just so happy that none of us fell into the river! It is slightly scary to ask your bride and groom to stand on the edge of water on their wedding day! 🤣

It was such a gift to be with this couple as they journied towards their wedding day. It is a rarity to meet a couple so beautifuly gentle and intentional with one another. Like a moth to a flame, their love draws you in because of its purity.

When I first met with them to learn more about their story I asked them what they liked to do together. Their first answer was "pray". Their faith is their foundation and prayer the strong thread that binds them.

Thank you for allowing me to be the one to capture so many beautiful memories of your happy day!

SNEAK PEEKS!!!!!

I met the bride 9 years ago when my husband became her youth minister. I've had the honor and joy of getting to know her and the entire family to the point that they ARE family to us!

To be asked to be the one to capture her most special day was such a gift. She was so joyful and so excited to begin her life with her groom!

Enjoy just a tiny piece of the big day! Congratulations to the happy couple!

Feeling so blessed to be able to serve the people God is placing in my path. As a stay at home mom of 4 young kids, it has put me at capacity for July and I am getting close for August. Please reach out if you are thinking of a session yet for 2026.

SNEAK PEEKS!!!!!

Saturday was simply lovely! Not only did the weather cooperate with blue skies and 70 degree temps, the music at mass was stunning, the bridal party was so kind, and these two were so pure of heart, it was incredible!

The tenderness with which this groom approached his bride and the selfness nature of the bride to her groom has been inspiring from the moment I met them last July.

It was truly an honor to journey with them to their wedding day!

I have so many photos to document the many, MANY beautiful moments of the day. It's hard to choose. But here is a tiny snippet to enjoy!
