Manuel Ruiz Photography

Manuel Ruiz Photography Taking a photo is easy, but capturing your personality is my goal by partnering with you. Helping you with your hellos and visual history.

I am an Arizona portrait photographer working in the Sahuarita and Tucson surrounding areas. I've been taking photos for over 13 years and decided to pursue it full-time for just over 3 years now. I picked up my camera while working on advertising and design projects to help convey the story I was tasked to tell. I quickly fell in love with the art and beauty of photography but also the historical

and emotional value it plays in our everyday lives. My goal is to listen to your ideas and deliver your vision for family photos, senior photos, professional branding, headshots, and celebrations. Please take a moment to view my work to better understand my style of photography.

Suns out, reflectors and strobes out. lights coming in clutch. It is always great to learn new ways to set-up and guide light when on an outdoor setting. Dixie and her lighting assistant did a great job guiding us through these scenes.

This was a fun workshop learning to shoot with horses. We used a combination of lights and foam reflectors adjusting to the changing lighting conditions. Dixie had a great class showing us storyboarding, working with a lighting technician, and of course the guest ranch staff. Alexandria was a natural with the beautiful horse we worked with.

This was a great class exploring RGB lighting along with using flags and snoots. Utilizing gear made setting up this shoot quick and easy. Ivan walked us through different lighting techniques that did challenge me creatively. Can't wait to explore these lighting options in greater detail.

Part three with Sal Cincotta. Again we used a reflector to provide the lighting. From the porch, to the open field, and down the mesquite filled trail into the wash. The reflector proved to be an amazing tool. Not everything needs to be "electric"! Thanks Sal.
