With fall coming to an end I thought I'd share some images me and my second shooter took while at the
Dow Gardens a few weekends ago 🖤
A little poem I wrote to go with the images ☺️...
The Shape of Autumn’s Echo
The amber leaves fall softly,
as if the season remembers
more than it can keep.
There’s a hush in the branches—
a tender ache,
a reaching back
toward warmer days
already slipping into memory.
I walk through the chill
and feel the world turning slow,
pulling me into its quiet longing,
into the sweet ache
of almost-forgotten warmth.
And as the cold creeps in,
I find myself holding on
to every fading color—
romancing the remnants
of a season that leaves gently,
but never without leaving
a little yearning behind.
