Long read but stick with me -
Last year when I released my “Pay What You Can” mini sessions I debated if I should offer them or not. I sold out the event, saw many familiar faces, and met several new families. It’s always a great time but I told myself I wouldn’t be offering these again because it’s hard to dedicate a summer weekend when I could potentially book a wedding or event that same date.
Then something happened that shifted my entire perspective. One of the new families I had just met at the event had a huge scary accident happen two days after their photo session. It reminded me that sometimes I am the last person to take photos of your loved ones and life can change in an instant. With that being said - I will offer these sessions again this summer because I feel a responsibility to do so.
