Just another postcard video from this past weekend’s short day hike. I think I like this format -frame better, but the film grain look isn’t quite hitting the mark yet!

Reservations will not be required at these National parks this year.

while I understand the intention of reservations, as someone who plans ahead especially when traveling far, reservations is often a hassle and disappointment. With no reservations this year, I hope we all can be respectful to each other and the environment to keep this open policy longer!

Another morning hike done ✅

We’ve been loving these short and closer to home hikes. They allow us to get some air, get our hearts pumping, then grab brunch and go home to prep our home and backyard for Spring!

What a great way to start hiking this Spring than to explore waterfalls and wildflowers at Table Mountain!

The first two waterfalls we explored this year were on the same trail. Tucked in between glorious lush green table top mountains is Ravine Falls. A 70 feet flow of water spraying on its way down. It was gorgeous! Along this trail are an estimate 10 potential waterfalls, however we only hiked to the most beautiful on that trail, Phantom Falls. As for wildflowers, they are blooming all over, though not a super bloom like other years, still gorgeous!

Phantom Falls is located at North Table Mountain Ecological Reserve and is best hiked and viewed during right now while wildflowers are blooming and snow melt is running. After the season, the waterfall completely disappears, thus earning the name of “Phantom Falls”. The waterfall is 166 feet and drops into a beautiful canyon.

If you want a longer hike, do the full loop to explore the other falls such as Twin Falls, and Beatson Falls!

+Please respect private property and cattle. Do not approach cattle.

Postcard from the Quarry Trail.
Yesterday, with a busy weekend of house catch up preparedness for Spring, we got a short but chill hike in. I brought my camera to capture some still video shots (as still as I can handheld that is) to make this greeting. Enjoy!

In today’s fast-paced digital world, video postcards are transforming the way we stay connected. Instead of traditional paper cards, a video postcard lets you record and share a personal message, complete with visuals, sound, and your unique personality. Whether you want to brighten a friend’s day, send greetings across the miles, or simply capture a special moment, video postcards make every communication feel more vibrant and authentic.
There are no rules to video postcards as there are no rules to physical postcards. I like to use them to document greetings from where we are or been. Historically, I have never been a postcard collector or sender, however I am here for the video postcards!

My qualities of a Video Postcard:
📼4:3 aspect ratio
🕰️No more than 15 seconds long
⛰️Still video focusing on detailed scenes,landscapes, or quiet moments

Note that in this video, the video is not still. I wanted to showcase my hand at a video postcard, but only had moving footage to use.

Wrapping up our amazing trip to Singapore, I’m truly blown away by this city’s impressive wealth and stunning architecture—from the dazzling skyline to iconic sites like Marina Bay Sands and the Supertree Grove. What surprised me most is that enjoying Singapore doesn’t have to break the bank! There are plenty of affordable (and even free) experiences, delicious hawker center meals, and beautiful parks to explore. Can’t wait to come back and discover even more hidden gems! 🇸🇬✨

Soaked up the views on our hike along Lake Clementine Trail in Auburn—sunshine, calm water, and the best kind of start to the day. ✨
