Years ago, when I first started traveling, I used to buy T-shirts, shot glasses and trinkets. Over the pass 10 years. I’ve shifted to buy original art. Prior to departing, I’m always looking for local up-and-coming artist to see if they have a gallery or is being showcased somewhere this has become my vice. When they say art is in the eye of the beholder, that is truly the case. On our past trip a couple of weeks ago to the Bahamas, I had a chance to attend an art auction that featured one of my favorite artist Romero Britto. I decided to tap into my little piggy bank and buy one of his original pieces and also happen to pick up a couple of other gems. Two pieces from Kre8tion and a piece that Belle loved by Anna August. I have collected art from over 60 countries. Each of them have a story.
