The Funeral of Achilles - Inspired by a bit of writing by Cook. The book is called Achilles: A Novel.
This painting was done after reading this passage.
“Your body under this soft piled blanket of black and brown, russet and gold. The wind detaches and lifts some of the locks. Bright hairs separate themselves and float in the air like strange insects. Sea horses of the air.” (pg.62)
Done for my Mythos of War, Reality of Dreams class.
