[LIFE] “As the autumn leaves brush my feet on my path, I take a moment to pause. I look back and smile, and I remember just how far I’ve traveled to reach this far.”

As the year falls to it’s annual sunset, I take a brief moment to sift through my memories and pictures to a year prior and I remember just how much has changed. From new responsibilities in school, a new professional career and new lessons learned in my own personal growth, I take this moment to reflect on my change namely as a photographer and visual storyteller in my own community.

I’ve always wanted to find a way to use my passion for storytelling and document something that would be meaningful for me, and one of these internal “projects” is to find a way to understand and document the different facets that make up my own community. With the assistance and opportunities afforded by individual creatives in the area, I’ve met many personal inspirational figures and take part in offering their passions through the voice of my lens.

From a chance opportunity to work with a long-time inspiration in , to branching out of my creative comfort zone with my new family in .uplft . To creating memories and learning from the extremely talented people from , to having the opportunity in documenting and appreciating the immense local talent such as .areyou / offered by . To having the chance to meet and watch childhood hero perform. To being behind the scenes in documenting once-in-a-lifetime memories for and and even being given a chance to see the in person. It’s been an eventful half of the year, and I can’t possibly thank everyone in one post who has helped to rekindle my passion as a photographer and visual storyteller, but I look forward to sharing these stories soon.
