I’m not sure how, but we are coming up on the 4 year anniversary of Molly and Brian’s elopement. I swear it was just a few weeks ago!

Their day is one that we will truly never forget. It seemed like everything in the universe was working in our favor to create the perfect day for these two. We initially had to make a last minute call to reschedule to the next day because of thunderstorms, but because of that, things could not have worked out better.

There are a lot of logistics that make eloping at Chimney Pond, a little difficult, but Molly and Brian were committed and it turned out beautifully. From managing to snag a last minute lean-to reservation for their getting ready suite, to all of the incredible hikers staying at the pond choosing to give Molly and Brian privacy for their ceremony, everything went better than we could have ever imagined!

They now own an amazing wedding venue in Maine, , so please check them out and go get married there! They are truly some of the sweetest people and we are so grateful we got to be a part of this experience!

Jessica & Doug’s small wedding in Acadia was truly a dream

They had a full day adventure in the park starting with private vows at sunrise and ending with a gorgeous reception at .

They wanted both an elopement experience and time to celebrate with their families, so that’s what they did! They took the morning for time for just the two of them with private vows, adventures around the park, and then met up with everyone in the afternoon to get ready for a larger ceremony and celebration.

I remember their day like it was yesterday and I can’t believe it’s been over 2.5 years!!

Hannah & Hunter pulled off one of the most unforgettable wedding days we’ve ever photographed

They invited all of their friends and family up to Acadia for their elopement, but there was a catch… their families had absolutely no idea what was coming, and they weren’t even “officially” engaged yet

They convinced both families to come up to Maine for a vacation, and slipped a “family photoshoot” onto the itinerary for one of the days. What their families didn’t know was that photoshoot was actually going to be their wedding!

Before they met up with their families for the “photoshoot”, we snuck away with Hannah and Hunter to a quiet beach tucked inside the park so they could share their private vows and soak in a few peaceful minutes together before the nerves of what was about to happen really set in

Once they were ready, we made our way to their ceremony! I (Bridget) headed down to the beach ahead of them to get their families into place, letting everyone know Hannah and Hunter were “just running a little late.” Once everyone was set, H&H walked down the beach and surprised their families with a proposal.

But the surprises weren’t over yet. A few moments later, their friends came walking down the beach, which was a total shock for the families, and handed out wedding invitations to everyone standing there. The second it clicked for people, the energy on that beach completely shifted. Everyone was crying and so excited!

They had a beautiful little ceremony right there with their people watching, and ended with a cake cutting and time to just hang out and celebrate!

This photo has gone viral a few timeline on various apps, so I thought it was time to share a few more from the day that created it!

Imogen & Garrett had a uniquely them Acadia NP elopement. It was lowkey and intimate, just them and a few friends exploring the cliffs of the park.

They shared a small ceremony right at sunset where they exchanged vows as their friends watched from a distance. Then celebrated after with a beautiful picnic overlooking the coastline.

Imogen made her own flowers (.greenery) and designed the picnic!

It was truly perfect way to experience the park and elope. There was no stress, just time to enjoy the experience and celebrate with friends.

There’s something truly special about a small wedding

Kellie & Mike chose to invite a handful of their closest friends and family to join them in Acadia for their wedding. They shared an intimate ceremony on a quiet beach, celebrated with a champagne pop surrounded by the people they love most, and ended the evening at for a dinner reception overlooking the garden.

What we love most about small weddings is that you still get to celebrate your relationship with the people who matter, it just never feels overwhelming. It feels like a dinner party full of real conversation, genuine laughter, and the space to truly enjoy yourself.

You’re not bouncing from table to table trying to say hello to every one of your 120 guests. You’re actually in it, getting to live inside your wedding day instead of just passing through it.

And to be clear, we’re not big wedding haters. For some people, a big party is exactly what they’re. But if you’re the type who imagines a quiet dinner, laughing until you cry, and marking one of the biggest days of your life in a way that feels calm? We see you!

Olivia, Nick, and their perfect fall elopement in Acadia National Park 🍂

These two had a full day adventure in the park, starting at sunrise and ended past sunset with a campfire and smores!

We already shared the morning of their wedding day on here before, so today we’re talking about their ceremony and reception.

After their morning adventures (sunrise hike and tidepooling!), Olivia and Nick met back at their Airbnb to relax and freshen up before the ceremony. Olivia got her hair and makeup done at and then they got ready together before heading to the park for a small hike to reset before the ceremony.

They met their guests on the cliffs just before sunset for their ceremony overlooking the ocean. After, the group headed to for cocktail hour, dinner, and reception!
