There is something so special about maternity sessions in the studio, especially in the winter.

A calm, warm space. Soft light. Nothing to worry about except being present and soaking it all in.

This mini session with a few outfit changes was the perfect way to create a beautiful variety of images without it feeling like too much.

I always recommend scheduling maternity photos around 32–34 weeks. Your bump is beautifully visible, you are still feeling good, and we are not cutting it too close to baby’s arrival.

Truly such a sweet season to preserve.

I cannot wait to see this family again for their newborn session so soon 🤍

This sweet little guy came into the studio at two months old, and it was absolutely perfect.

While those first few weeks can be beautiful, they can also feel like a blur. If you are not ready right away, that is completely okay.

Because what matters most is capturing your family in this season.

Two weeks, two months, or even later… they are still so little.

It is never too late to document it 🤍

Sometimes the simplest sessions are the most beautiful.
Just a sweet one year old, her parents, soft light, and a whole lot of smiles.

No distractions. Nothing complicated. Just the three of them together exactly as they are right now.

These are the type of sessions that make my heart so happy! simple, joyful, and full of connection.

The kind of images that feel just as beautiful framed on your walls years from now as they do today.

We have had a lot of new faces around here this past few months. So I thought it was time to reintroduce myself. I am Carrie Pellerin a Family Photographer located in Southern Maine. But truly that is probably the least interesting thing about me.

I am a wife. Just celebrated 17 years of marriage. I am an IVF mama to an adorable 7 year old mini me. I have two senior pups.

My happy place is sunsets at the beach chasing kiddos or at our family camp on Cobbossee Lake.

Dolly Parton. I am not sure why but as a child she I captivated me. As an adult I think it is her kind heart. I just adore her.

I am early riser. Like 4-5am I get up so I can have a cup of coffee and chill before I have to start my day.

Family is my everything. I talk to my grandmother (who is my BF) every morning from 8-9 (ish). What do we talk about….literally everything and anything.

If you are a true friend you know I would be there no matter what….even bail you out of jail and ask no questions. 😉

Can’t leave the house without chapstick.

Toe nails MUST BE PAINTED AT ALL TIMES!

Would have loved to be a comedian because I love to laugh and I am witty. However I am a super sensitive so I would survive it. 🤣

I hope you all have a wonderful week and I would love to know if anyone else identifies with these traits of mine!
