immediate and imperfect. it’s like the perfect tangible exclamation mark to any set of images. I love using these so incredibly much because even if I take the same image twice the chemicals never develop the exact same, feels like black magic lol

bold color, fine grain, saturated in a way that feels almost editorial. I find myself reaching for it the most on a sunny day

I actually don’t use her enough but will be incorporating more this year for sure. beautiful texture, and flexible when it comes to lighting and uses. She’s easy on the eyes heavy on the emotions

yummy yummy I love this one an insane amount and would say there’s a reason it’s so popular. this one feels like a sun soaked childhood summer, and it leans golden in the best way

soft, slightly muted, beautifully simple. it feels honest and unfussy, like everyday life on purpose. I’ve only used her a few times but she’s a forgotten fav i love so dearly

portra 160/400 (35mm)
creamy skin tones, soft contrast, forgiving highlights. 400 is one I trust when light is shifting at sunrise or sunset. 160 is a bit more finer grain, loves good light and rewards intention. both refined and polished

— letting this year unthaw slow and steadily

in sessions, slowing down for others has never been hard for me but to apply it to my own life?? one of the hardest tasks yet. last year I made it a goal to take a photo a day, whether it was a photo of Casey bringing me a snack or a lil light leak seeping through my window. again, slowing down is HARD, but this quickly became one of my favorite reminders of the unrushed reality that’s life

while I’ve seen many versions of myself and your families this past year, somewhere on a hill unrushed with your favorite humans will always be high on my reminders to enjoy existing 🌿
