I want more men and masc-presenting people in front of my camera.

Not for stiff portraits. Not for corporate headshots. Not to force anyone into some narrow idea of what masculinity is supposed to look like.

I want to make casual, editorial portraits through the feminine gaze. Sexy if that fits. Soft if that fits. Sharp, pretty, rough, androgynous, polished, tattooed, understated, whatever actually feels like the person I’m photographing.

Basically, I want to give men and masc people the same kind of attention, intention, and care I’ve spent years giving the women in front of my camera.

And to the women following me: if you have a partner you would very much enjoy seeing photographed this way, this is also your invitation to send them the link. Or book it for them with their consent.

I’m opening a limited run of these at a discounted portfolio-building rate in exchange for some creative freedom and permission to share the images.

The full session + images is $375, and Afterpay is available.

One last call for these lower-cost sessions before I close them out ❤️

I put these together because I know the full investment has kept some people from working with me, and I wanted to see if I could create a lower-cost way to get you into the studio without taking away the parts of the experience that actually make it work.

These are still personalized sessions. You still get hair and makeup, planning and styling help, full posing and direction from me, your actual photo session, and your images. I didn’t want to make a cheaper experience. I wanted to find a way to make the experience I’m really good at more accessible.

So, if you’ve been wanting to do this but the price has been the thing stopping you, this is me giving it a shot for you.

Once these appointments are gone, everything goes back to my regular pricing: $499 for the experience, with photo packages beginning at $999.

There are just a few of these lower-cost sessions available, Afterpay is available, and this is your last chance to grab one before I close the experiment and go back to business as usual. ❤️

I’ve been trying to come up with a way to create some lower-investment portrait options without having to forego the full experience I’ve curated through the years. Part of what makes my sessions so effective and successful is the experience, and I don’t want to take any element of that away.

I decided to experiment with a couple of lower-cost sessions to see if it’s something I can work into my schedule sometimes, and there are a small handful of these appointments available now. I know being out-of-budget has been an obstacle for some, and I hope this is a way to change that! As always, Afterpay is available to make an easy thing even easier ❤️

Once these are gone, they’re gone. And if they end up not being viable for me, you may never see them again, so don’t miss your chance!

I’ve opened FIVE complete portrait experiences for $599 total.

I know there are people who would genuinely love to experience the kind of session I offer, but the usual starting investment just isn’t realistic for them right now. I’ve heard that, and I’ve been trying to figure out whether there’s a way to offer a smaller option without turning it into a mini session or cutting out the parts that make the experience what it is.

So, I’m trying an experiment.

These sessions still include professional hair and makeup, a planning consultation, wardrobe access, complete posing guidance, a private studio experience, and same-day viewing and ordering.

You’ll also receive five edited digital images, five 4x6 prints, and a $100 credit toward a larger collection if you decide you want more photos during your viewing.

For comparison, my regular minimum investment is currently $1,498 for the full experience and a ten-image collection.

I’m starting with five because I want to see whether I can make this work in a way that feels good for my clients and is still sustainable for my business. If it does, I’d love to bring a limited number of these back from time to time.

These can be used for bo***ir, maternity, couples, branding, or personal portraits and scheduled up to eight months in advance.

The photos I took of my husband for Smoky Row Tattoo are a good example of what creative branding photography can look like.

Branding photos do not have to mean a blazer, laptop, and coffee cup. They can be cinematic, editorial, experimental, soft, colorful, strange, or built around the feeling you want people to associate with your work.

This kind of session can work especially well for authors, musicians, therapists, coaches, artists, performers, tattooers, florists, designers, podcasters, makers, and other people whose personality or creative point of view is part of what they offer.

I’m currently offering $100 off all three of my basic branding packages with the code BRAND. The offer applies to session dates through November 2026.

You can see the packages, details, and available dates here:

Use the code BRAND when booking.

Yesterday, I created and photographed an entire session with my husband in about an hour.

We set everything up, shot the session, took the set back down, went through the photographs, chose around 30 favorites, and I fully edited 11 of them.

An hour.

And I understand why, from the outside, that might make the work seem like it should cost less. After all, if a photographer can create the finished images quickly, the client is technically receiving less of her time.

But time is a strange way to measure skilled work.

You aren’t only paying for the hour it took me to make those photographs.

You’re paying for the 17 years it took me to become capable of making them in an hour.

You’re paying for a concept that is already fully formed before you ever get dressed for the session. You’re paying for me to tell you what to wear, what will photograph well, and how all of the pieces will work together.

You’re paying for years of learning how to guide someone into posing that feels easy and natural instead of stiff or overly performed.

You’re paying for the thousands of photographs I’ve taken while learning light, composition, expression, timing, and exactly what my camera is doing.

You’re paying for my ability to recognize when the photograph is right while we are still creating it, rather than hoping I can rescue it later on my computer.

And you’re paying for the editing experience that allows me to make deliberate decisions quickly, without experimenting on your final images.

Speed is not always evidence that something is easy.

Sometimes it is evidence that someone has practiced the difficult parts long enough that you no longer have to see them.

I don’t think this is unique to photography. It is true of designers, hairstylists, florists, tattoo artists, musicians, writers, makeup artists, craftspeople, and nearly anyone who has devoted years to becoming very good at something.

The finished work may happen in an hour.

The ability to create it did not.

A quick note about automations, because I think the word “automation” sometimes gets confused with AI.

I use automations throughout my booking process, and I have for nearly ten years. They are not replacing me, writing for me, or pretending to be me.

They help me make sure you get the information you need when you need it.

That means you can read through details at your own pace, complete forms when it is convenient for you, and receive important information without waiting for me to be physically sitting at my computer.

Automatic emails also mean I do not forget to send a crucial piece of information or have to manually rewrite the same instructions for every client. Appointment reminders, payment-plan reminders, questionnaires, preparation guides, and follow-up information all help us stay on the same page throughout the process.

But the words are still mine. The process is still mine. When you reply, you are still talking to me.

Automation handles the repetitive parts so I can spend more of my actual time doing the parts of this work that require a human being: answering your specific questions, planning your session, paying attention to what you need, photographing you, and taking care of you throughout the experience.

It is not less personal. It is one of the ways I make sure the personal experience does not get buried underneath administrative work. 💚
