Our backyard is where we get the inspiration for Mike's photography. Together we make a great team and work hard to have fun at making our Artwork something special. I'm the gardener and my journey is to attract butterflies, bees, birds and all of the pollinators to our backyard. What's important to him is capturing the light the way he sees it and, of course, getting the best photos of our backyard flowers and pollinators.

Softly Rose is a soothing photo that looks as good on your studio walls as it does on a tote bag.

Our backyard has this small rose tucked in a sunny corner. Before you see it you can catch the soft scent it gives off.

As a gardener, for me roses are not that easy to grow. I have several different types in our yard, floribunda, tea, climbing and shrub roses. Depending on conditions some do well and some need extra care. Each year it changes. But, I keep at it.

Besides, it gives Mike the opportunity to take pics like this.

Star of Bethlehem - Latin Genus is Ornathogalum umbellatum

Beautiful but dangerous. I totally get why Mike took pictures of this! This wildflower just showed up in our backyard in a few places this spring. Not only is it invasive, (which means it will spread rapidly), it is also poisonous to people and pets. They have faded away now, so I can't see them, or tell where they are. I'll have a new battle on my hands next year. Still, it is a beautiful flower that we both enjoyed looking at. It would make a great statement piece on your wall.

“Swirling Skirts”

This fuchsia's latin name is Fuchsia hybrida. It's a hybrid of the standard trailing fuchsia.

Reminds me of ladies dancing in purple swirling skirts. Fuchsia is loved by hummingbirds and we've had several of them hanging around. I always try and get a few kinds of fuchsia for my pots so Mike can get pictures. This picture shows off the real beauty of this plant.
