On a more serious note,

25% of the profits will be donated to Living LFS (Li-Fraumeni Syndrome). Basically, this Syndrome is a gene defect that increases the chances of cancer/multiple cancers in a lifetime:

For women with LFS, its 90%.
For men, it's 70%.

My sister, who passed away 2 years ago, was working at an LFS research lab, when they asked her if she had ever been tested, since she had cancer in the past.
Thanks to her willingness to be tested, it was discovered that this defect runs in the family, and led to my mom catching her cancer(s), since those with LFS are encouraged to be on a regular and more frequent screening schedule.

Living LFS helps connect families with this syndrome to proper resources, communities, and support. ❤

Thinking today about loneliness. It isn’t always the state of being alone. More often it’s feeling that one has lost direction. One can feel lonely in a room full of people.
In the current state of isolation, one is not worthless. Alone one does not lose purpose. Aloneness doesn’t have to beget loneliness.
Set goals. Find ways to serve someone. Exercise. Plan for the future. Don’t let yourself get dragged into the pit of despair. Don’t get set on auto pilot.
Press forward with hope.

I felt absolutely lazy compared to the people of Vietnam. Everyone seems so nonstop. Many work twice the hours I do (at least). And yet, they still have the biggest smiles.

Went on an adventure with my buddy biking up Big Cottonwood to test the iPhone 11 Pro camera, as well as decompress a bit. The ride was brutal, and I realized how much being stagnant has affected my stamina. As for the camera: What’s funny is it is a clear improvement. Brilliant even. But, I forget that I took some pretty solid images on my 8 Plus, as well as my Note 4.
The tool isn’t everything. As I was told a long time ago, “Don’t be so focused on doing your job that you forget to do your job.”

A water buffalo grazes in the field harshly juxtaposed against the city. People driving on massive freeway systems will full farms beneath them, between the pillars. Cities that look like the remains of the apocalypse.

With strict laws to preserve the land for agricultural use against city growth, the farming is sustained while the buildings grow upward instead of outward, causing housing prices to skyrocket. A one-child policy (now updated to two) was enacted as a form of population control.
People that would give anything to help an outsider who has so much, yet they have so little. Giving what they worked hard for and may not have for a while, for a greater purpose. Love.

Travel here was witnessing a beautiful battle against itself...

I find as a photographer that a big determining factor to visit a place is if it has a good sunrise or sunset. I spend hours browsing photos to find even one that proves a certain type of shot can be done. Sometimes, however, I think I get so caught up in capturing a specific image that I don’t allow myself to be as creative. In this industry planning is definitely key, but the ability to be flexible and work under pressure is necessary to be able to save almost any situation in photography.
When the shoot has nothing to do with work, I like to let myself wing it, or even only use my phone, so that I can have a sense of discovery, and also know that I’m not limited by my tools.
