Who needs fancy overlays and not-free plugins when you can cut a post-it note into an arrow and just stick it on your monitor to make sure your contrast curves preserve medium gray??

We had a blast on set with today! Filmed a trailer for her upcoming book (🤐 you have to find out with everyone else!).


We’re super excited to show y’all the finished product tho. This one’s gonna be special 😎

We film as much as we can on iPhones.


Part of this is for ergonomic considerations, as our best videographer needs to use the most lightweight camera possible for health reasons.


Another reason is that 90% of video work we’re asked to do simply doesn’t require more camerapower than what modern phones provide. The phone I’m typing this on has a more powerful camera than the cinema cameras I used in film school.


Not DSLRs. Ci-ne-ma cameras.


That being said, we can (and do) use the cinema cameras for the select projects whose scope actually does surpass the limits of mobile cinematography (crazy, I know), or when working with clients whose own mental blocks prevent them from feeling like they’re getting their money’s worth unless they see us using big fancy movie cameras 🎥.


At the end of the day, what you’re paying for is expertise, skill set, experience, and time. Oh and also a fantastic end product, and hopefully results that positively affect your bottom line 🤞


So to our clients, thank you for letting us point our phones at you (and loving the product we deliver) 🤘

It’s not every day you get to work with someone like Joe Fang, with Joe Fang Headshots. His passion for truly understanding his clients is something rare. He’s not about the perfect pose; he’s about the perfect you—capturing what makes you, well, you.

It was an honor to help tell Joe’s story, and we're so excited to share this video we created together.

Ignore my face in this. No one looks good mid-talk.


But OMG this place is amazing! They do chiropractic and acupuncture and reiki and massage and something involving these huge comfy chairs.


It was really cool to sit down with Dr. Steiner and learn about his story, and we can’t wait to share it with you all. Y’know, once we finish editing it.
