Walking through a veterans memorial cemetery is overwhelming in a way words can hardly hold. At Santa Fe National Cemetery, the endless rows upon rows of gravesites stretch farther than the eye can take in, each one holding a life, a story, a sacrifice. Once you have stood in a place like that, Memorial Day is never quite the same. It becomes more than a date on the calendar—it becomes remembrance made visible. May they rest in peace, knowing they are remembered with deep gratitude, and honored always for their courage, their service, and the sacrifices they made for so many.
