From the bustling streets of China to the remote landscapes of Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, my photography journey began in 2006 when I transitioned from a simple point-and-shoot to a DSLR. Travel fueled my passion for capturing the essence of each place, each moment, and each story. Over time, my love for photography deepened as I ventured into the mesmerizing world of macro photography—revealing the intricate details of insects, flowers, and nature’s hidden wonders. Lately, my focus has expanded to showcase the beauty of birds and wildlife, embracing the vastness of nature as a whole. Join me on this journey as I share the world through my lens, one story at a time.www.malzarphotos.com

Pick up an honorable mention at Teravarna's 17th Abstract International Juried Art Competition with a photo I made during a recent botanical visit. The image captures a reflection of plants in a pond that had lily pads as well.

I want to know what makes you pick something off the shelf and take it home forever. How about with art? Have you identified something that makes art resonate with you, or is it just a spark you can't explain?

Tell me your answer; I'll tell you mine.

"Weeping Willows on the Brazos" is today's feature.

A tree Reflected

A Tree Reflected presents a playful mirror of autumn trees on a still pond, where golden yellows and quiet greens tangle into an almost-abstract pattern that makes you do a double-take and smile. Light, relaxed and just a touch mysterious, it makes an easygoing focal point—perfect for a living room, hallway, or any spot that could use a calm upgrade

A quick interior note for the season: don't forget warmer textiles this month, like wool throws, wood tones, deeper colors, and striking monochromes.

What's your favorite fall item to display, or decor tip you live by?

Would "More Pollen Please" fit your style?

Between apple picking and pulling out the flannel, fall is the first step towards nesting season. That makes how a home feels extra important.
