A few favorite black and white moments from my engagement session with Svaja and Grant.

This date-inspired engagement session in Ventura, California, started off with cozy vibes and incredible cocktails at The Livery, followed by meandering through the tiny courtyards downtown that are tucked along Main Street, and finished at an overlook with an expansive view of the city, ocean, and sunset.

I have to give an extra shoutout to Svaja who powered through intensely cold winds at the overlook on one of the chilliest days of the week.

Even though we were chilled to the bone I was sad to leave these two. We had such a great time together. I can’t wait for their upcoming wedding !

I took so many photos of this bouquet because I loved it so much. Those colors! The variety and textures! They were so sweet and bright and happy, which matches Katy exactly. A good friend of Katy’s was the florist for her wedding and every floral detail was absolutely stunning.

I should just devote this post to Ixi, looking stunning in this dress, right?!

This was a pinch myself kind of wedding day. Ixi and Jonny are two of the kindest people and so completely devoted to each other.

How gentle they are with one another and the way they look at each other makes your heart melt.

This is part one. You don’t want to miss part two. Stay tuned…

Alpacas!!! Enough said, right? They were so sweet and so adorable.

Ixi and Jonny’s family and friends were traveling long distances and it was rare for them to all be together, so photography was incredibly important to them - especially candid moments.

There was so much joy and celebration in each and every moment of this day. You would never know that a cold front moved in and it was beyond freezing. Everyone was having too good of a time to be bothered.

I’m so grateful to have been a part of this celebration. It was so much fun to photograph.

I love getting to know couples and listening to them talk about what they hope their wedding day will be. Months later I get to experience that day come to fruition with them. Photographing their joy and their excitement as they see and experience what they spent so much time planning is incredibly special.

Christina and Ian were especially excited to share this beautifully planned celebration with their guests. Every detail was exquisite, even down to the dinner menus being infused with wildflower seeds so their guests could have an everlasting keepsake.

Pretty sure I was smiling the entire time I edited these photographs because they make me so happy. I feel like they really capture what their wedding looked like, how it felt to be there, and how these two beautiful souls are with each other and their loved ones.

This is what I am always striving to achieve. Creating the most beautiful time capsule of images for a lifetime of enjoyment, and forming a legacy for their family to enjoy for generations.

What happens when a classically trained opera singer gets married? You are treated to a ceremony in the coziest setting of trees where her voice floats and fills the space in the sweetest expression of love to her new husband. It was magical.

Speaking of expressions of love, while they were living apart for a period of time, Ian handmade love notes for Christina, that were all beautiful little works of art, and mailed them to her. How sweet is that?

I adore these two, I love how they are with each other, and I am so grateful to them for having me photograph this day. So much love to you both, and !

I knew from the first moment Christina and I met that I wanted to be there for her to photograph her wedding. If there really are angels on Earth, she is one of them. She has a way about her that is just magical.

Then I met Ian and immediately saw how much he adored her and how sweet she was with him. Their presence with each other was so lovely and connected. I could not wait for their wedding day...and let me tell you, it did not disappoint.
austin featured this wedding in January, which is a testament to the vision, thought, and preparation that Christina put into this day. Their theme was Italian inspired and I think she nailed it. Just wait until you see more of the details in the next couple of posts. It's the most professional-looking DIY I've ever photographed, seamlessly executed by .

Enjoy part one of this incredible wedding and keep an eye out for more!

You know that feeling when…

- you get asked for a second date by someone you really like
- a new friend remembers your birthday
- you get called out at work for a job well done
- you’re newly engaged

It’s joy and happiness mixed with validation and excitement. You feel like a million bucks and you’re walking with your head in the clouds.

That’s what it feels like when couples get in touch with me after their wedding to photograph another incredible life event. It’s the ultimate compliment.

Jess and Jeff were married last year in April and it was AMAZING - intimate lakeside ceremony and party boat reception.

Also, Jess’s bridal gown was jaw dropping. Seriously, just you wait. I will share photos soon.

I’m so excited for these two and their growing family and I’m thrilled to have created these portraits for them in Park City so they can remember this incredible time in their lives.

Leave a comment and tell me what has brought you joy and happiness recently. I’d love to cheer you on!

This is one of those moments that you press the shutter (with a half frozen finger) and get the chills. Not because of the freezing temps, but because you just know the photo is going to be amazing.

Hey, friends! It’s been a minute - 7 months, but who’s counting?

Not many of you know we moved to the mountains in Utah. Jess and Jeff have history in Park City so I was thrilled they wanted to do a maternity session there this past week.

I could not wait another minute to share these photos. I love them, I love these two, and I’m so thrilled for their new adventure together in starting a family.

Enjoy these…there’s more to come. Leave some love for these two in the comments.
