Magic happens when kids can be kids.
If you’re more worried about your kids smiling and looking at the camera you’ll miss the whole point of these photos.

I know photos can feel overwhelming especially with little kids but if you let them be themselves I promise you’ll love the outcome way more than the fake smile they put on when they “cheese” at the camera.

When you and your photographer bff Jill | Northern VA Family, Motherhood & Couples Photographer put your brains together to create in the midst of busy season. You know its gonna be good.

We had a million ideas running through our heads and nothing was concrete until the day of but maybe that’s the best part of creating.

We watched the internet become a place where part of our lives could be seen. First steps. Birthday parties. Vacations. New babies. Ordinary tuesday breakfast.

We documented everything.
And then, somewhere along the way, we started wanting some of it back.

A little more privacy.
A life that doesn’t always need an audience.

And I wonder if that will change the way we think about photographs too.

Maybe a photograph becomes less about being seen and more about being kept.
