Backstrom Family 2025

I had the best time taking this families photos recently! They had me smiling and laughing the entire time. I love when sessions go like that, but it does make it very hard to narrow their sneak peek down to just a few shots to share.

I have taken photos of a few of these family members over the years and it's always so much fun to go back and see how much they've grown up and changed. I'm going to include a few now (one from 2009 and another from 2010).

I am so thankful to get the chance to do this. Thank you Backstrom's for asking me to capture your family

McKenzie. Class of 2026. I met McKenzie in Fergus Falls for her senior session and I don't know if she could have chosen a better date! The wind was calm, the sun was golden, and she was up for all my wild ideas.

We went on a little adventure through the city and ended up in a few places I'd never been. It was well worth the trek through the woods to end up with some of the shots we did!

She was a natural in front of the camera and made my job so easy. Thank you for asking me to take your senior photos! Oh, and a fun fact, I had Kenz in my class when she was a 5th grader! It's been so much to get to take former students photos!

Lauren. Class of 2026.
The third time was a charm for this session! We had to reschedule a couple of times due to smoke and weather and I'm so glad we did! I've known Lauren and her family for quite a few years and I was even her 5th grade teacher! We had a great time chasing the light and beauty that is all around Fergus Falls. I had a very hard time narrowing this sneak peek down to just a few shots, there were so many to choose from! I also dug out an oldie but goodie from 2010 of her and sister that I took during their family session.

Averie. Class of 2026. I am so excited to share this session! Between starting a new career a few months ago and marathon training I haven’t been taking too many photos these days but every time I come back to it I remember how much I truly love it!

I met Averie and her mom in Fergus Falls the other evening and it was one of those dream sessions. She was a natural in front of the lens and came with some great ideas. We had fun exploring and chatting and the end result was a one of a kind senior session!

Rothsay Prom 2025. Thanks for asking me to take your prom photos today! You all looked great and so grown up! (As a side note I was lucky to be almost all of these kids 5/6 grade teacher!) I hope you all have an awesome night!

Schafer Family 2024. I had such a fun session with the Schafer family! The weather was amazing for Minnesota in October and the sunset just couldn't be beat! Siri. Class of 2025. Siri was in the first 5th grade class I taught when I started teaching in Rothsay in 2017 and I was honored when she asked me to take her senior photos.

I met Siri along with her mom and sister on a very chilly, windy day last week and although there were times when I thought the wind was going to get the best of us, we had a very successful and fun session! I am so excited to share this sneak peek!

Honer Family 2024. I am often asked if I take large family group photos and I am happy to say that I do!

The Honer's asked me to capture some photos for them last weekend and I am excited to share their sneak peek with them now. They were a fun crew and we were able to get lots of shots of everyone and smaller family groups too!

Grace. Class of 2025.

It's been a very fun senior season for me this year! The last three ladies I have taken photos of have all been in front of my lens at one point or another while they were growing up and I love getting to share some of those photos with them now!

I met Grace and her mom at the park to start her session on what had been a pretty rainy, breezy day. The rain let up and we decided to go for it and try the session despite the weather and I am so glad we did! The sun even came out right in time as we shot at the lake! I really had a hard time narrowing it down and picking just a few to share!

Sadie. Class of 2025.

Oh, I have so much to say about this beautiful girl! I first met Sadie when she was a spunky little girl playing with my kids at her mom's daycare.

I was lucky enough to get the chance to take her and her family's photos back in 2010 and I am excited to say that I found some of them to share with you all now!
