You know what doesn't change with your second, third, forth, fifth or more child? How tired you are those first couple of weeks after bringing him or her home from the hospital. Especially when you have older siblings at home that you have to take care of, I'm not going to sugar coat it; it can be exhausting. But, they are also some of the most precious and magical moments you will have as a family. Those are the moments you are going to want to grab a hold of and never let go. So trust me mama; trust me dad; regardless of how tired you and your partner are, support each other and push each other to show up and take these photos. I promise you won't regret it! Everyone has their favorite season and for different reasons. Ever wonder what "the perfect time" is to take newborn photos after baby is born is? It's a common and question and in some cases, even a stress for moms (which is the last thing I or any newborn photographer really wants for their mamas). Typically, I like to schedule my newborn sessions for when baby is between 5-14 days old, and honestly, my preference is on the slightly older side as well. But, if that time frame does work for you, if you're recovering from a C-section or your baby is or has been in the NICU, then meeting a timeline is the least of my or your concerns. We will get photos when you & your precious newborn are ready and we won't stress about it!

It's hard to believe that this girlie is a walking, talking big sister these days. One of my favorite things about this session, was that mom decided to go with a lifestyle style session.
