09.22.23...it's been a week filled with projects that were for others...today I shut the door to room I am happiest in and worked on things that truly make me happy to the core... completed Fall themed blocks...carving is calming.

Kicking off 2023 with a Block of the Month class, a Precision Piecing class and a Beginning Quilt class (5 class series)...I figure if I want to honor my grandmother and her amazing quilting ability, I had better do it right! Needless to say, there is a LOT to learn and also many different ways to do the same things depending on the instructor and personal preference. I am finding my way and fortunately have a group to work with that makes it fun and we get to support each other thru the challenges of ripping out "drunk" seams and pieces sewn on in the wrong place...hey, it happens! We all completed the first block "Whirlpool" and it came out better than I expected...
