I had a lot of fun second shooting a wedding with Glenda of Glenda Fox Photography a few weeks ago. It was held at Willow Creek Events up in Marysville, such a lovely place for a vintage wedding. J&H saw each other before the wedding which is something couples are doing now so that all the formal portraits can be taken before the ceremony and the couple can move right into the reception after the ceremony. It also allows them a private moment alone when they see each other for the first time. It's awesome. Glenda and I have grown in the business together but never had a chance to work together so I felt honored when she asked me to second shoot for her.

Fall is just around the corner and the perfect time to have senior portraits taken. If you know of anyone graduating in 2015, I would love to talk with them (916-806-3602). I have some wonderful Collections to choose from offering prints, digital files and keepsake books. Or, if your child is entering High School for the first time, this can also be a great time to have him or her photographed and then see how they've changed over the next four years. I loved spending time with MH of Woodcreek High School (below). She was so much fun to hang with and I love her serious face, so beautiful.

I enjoyed second shooting another wedding with Diana Thompkins of D.Elaine Photography at the Helwig Winery. A beautiful location for a wedding. I always photograph the Groom and Groomsmen while she photographs the Bride and Bridesmaids hence no pictures of the bride from me really, but we then meet up at the ceremony and photograph together. It's a wonderful way to capture everything going on.

I had such a great time second shooting a wedding with Diana Thompkins of Delaine Photography. Diana is so fun to work with and we got some terrific images for V&R. The weddings was held at the Catta Verdera Country Club in Lincoln (www.cattaverdera.com). It's such a beautiful location.

For Father's Day we took John to Mercer Caverns in Murphy. It was a 50 minute tour and pretty cool. For those that have taken my workshop, you will realize the importance of a camera's ISO (film speed) and that when you are in areas this dark, you need to set it as high as you can (above 1600) to get a sharp image. A low number aperture is a must as well unless you are using flash. But sometimes the flash can kill the mood and since the caverns had such interesting lighting, I didn't want to do that. I would love for those of you that took my workshop to go test your skills up here. Remember to bring your cheat sheet so you can set your settings correctly.

MY EMAIL HAS BEEN HACKED. I am soooo sorry to all of you who have gotten emails from me in the last couple of days as it is sending multiple emails and I can't stop it. I think I am going to have to close the account down which is a bummer since I've had that email for 17 years. Still working with Comcast to figure out if there is anything I can do. Please don't get mad at me. I have spent numerous hours trying to fix it.

On that same day (see below), a golf pro friend of mine, John Klein, also wanted me to photograph some images of him for marketing materials. He's a seasoned professional and awesome instructor. I've taken lessons from him and he's got a lot of different ways of helping you make it sink in (pun intended).

Last Sunday a massage therapist called and wanted me to photograph some images for him for his business. He does massages on location, one of them being at events like golf tournaments and people's homes, so here we are at a home on Woodcreek Golf Course. This was really fun.

I met the E. family last month as a referral from another photographer. The mother and father were celebrating their 25th anniversary so while their kids were in town and they took advantage of it and called me to photograph their family. I love this family. They were so much fun to photograph.
