Today, I had the honor of photographing my own family. 🤍

As a wedding and family photographer, I'm usually behind the camera, capturing other people's milestones. But today, it was my son's special day.

I am incredibly proud of my son, Andrey, who graduated from Western Sierra Collegiate Academy and is beginning an exciting new journey as a student at Boston University. 🎓

Years of hard work, determination, and late nights have led to this moment. As a mom of four, I know that childhood passes in the blink of an eye. It feels like yesterday I was taking his school photos, and today I'm photographing his graduation.

My heart is filled with pride, gratitude, and a few tears. Congratulations, Andrey! Chase your dreams, work hard, and enjoy every step of this new adventure.

I photographed many beautiful wedding details last weekend, but this one brought tears to my eyes.

Hidden inside the bride's dress pocket was her father's watch.

Her dad had passed away, and although he couldn't walk her down the aisle, she found a way to keep him close to her heart on the most important day of her life. 🤍

When she showed me the watch and shared its meaning, I had to pause for a moment. As a photographer, I capture dresses, flowers, rings, and decorations. But sometimes I get to photograph something far more valuable—a memory, a connection, a love that continues even after goodbye.

This little watch wasn't just a wedding detail. It was a father being present in spirit. It was a daughter carrying a piece of him with her as she began a new chapter.

These are the moments that remind me why I love what I do.

The details matter because the stories behind them matter.
