Just a nice shelf cloud I caught past 2 am to the north and west of Fond Du Lac, WI earlier this morning (9-04-2026). While some damaging winds blasted Oshkosh, Fond Du Lac and into Sheboygan County, the strongest I encountered were 55 mph wind gusts. This was a nice way to start the fall chase season.

Massive Wall Cloud in Illinois!!
This was taken back on June 11, 2026, west of Dwight, Illinois. This would eventually go on to produce the short-lived, but strong tornado east of Dwight, Illinois.

A garden spade and tack shoved into the partially debarked trunk of a younger tree. This unique show of force was the result of the F5 tornado that hit Andover, Kansas April 26, 1991.

I have posted a 6 minute video of my chase from June 11, 2026 in Central Illinois. My partner and I caught 5 tornadoes in a couple-hour stretch. It was just absolute turmoil. When one tornado would lift, another would touch down. There was at one point, a sequence of multiple brief tornado touchdowns and attempts. However, the NWS considered the sequence to be part of the Dwight tornado.

Just a gravel road, leading to a weakening . This was taken south of Dixon, Illinois near Amboy. This was just hours before seeing my first 5 tornadoes of my lifetime.

Coming Up Behind a Rain Wrapped Tornado
I was heading east with Northwoods Storm Chasing east of Wenona, on June 11, 2026. Because it was rain-wrapped by the RFD, that meant we had to execute a "hook slice".
The tornado was rated EF-1. But it easily was stronger.
