What’s new for this year? I’m bringing in a fireplace with a cascading winter floral arrangement and twinkle lights for that warm, holiday glow. For those special solo detail shots, I’ll have a mini ladder and poinsettias for toddlers and young kids, and my beloved Moses basket for the littlest ones. Pets are welcome for last slots of each day (please message me).

Sometimes I capture weddings and sometimes I capture events that recognize a different kind of love: the love for community. One aspect I enjoy about photography is the opportunity to be a fly on the wall. Throughout the evening I witnessed staff volunteers dedicating their time with excitement and joy to honor hardworking kids, community members rallying their support for youth in our community. I finally say “our” community, because after moving here recently, I’ve grown to feel a genuine connection to the people and the spirit that make this place so special. It was a beautiful night and I’m so glad I had the chance to learn about some of the key players in our community who pour out their support to programs like the Boys & Girls Club.

It’s moments like these that remind me how much I love capturing all the special parts of people’s lives, including the heart and soul of our community.

Thanks for having me BGCUV and congratulations to all those recognized and their families!
