Hey hey - Sammie here.
I wanted to jump on and address the most recent court ruling on AI. I haven’t posted consistently in a little while and part of that is due to the growing concerns of AI and what privacy and safety look like moving forward.
The internet has always been an iffy place and I never shared images that parents did not want me to share. In the past year or so I have pulled back from sharing my own kids on my personal page. I used to post and share all the fun things. Now I keep it to milestones or occasional photo dumps.
All that to say - I will not be sharing kids’ faces anymore. Even if you sign a social media release I will not be sharing identifiable faces of anyone 18 and under on my pages.
I will also be working towards removing identifiable kids’ faces from my website. Galleries will still have all of your images. I’m not going to start posing only to hide faces. Everything will be the same. Your galleries will still have happy smiley faces. I just won’t be sharing them on my socials.
If the laws catch up to keeping our kids safe I may reevaluate. But moving forward it’s going to look a little different here.
