I’ve known Jackson since he was a little kid, so getting to take his senior pictures was a pretty special one for me. I’ve had the privilege of watching him grow up over the years into the sweet young man he is today.
We did his session right at home, which made it even more personal. His family recently purchased the property, and it’s a place where I know they’re going to make so many memories together.
We made sure to include some of the things that feel most like Jackson right now. His puppies, his new truck that he’s been decking out, and his love for trap shooting. We took all of those pieces and built his session around HIM.
And like a lot of senior guys, taking pictures probably wasn’t at the top of Jackson’s list of things he was excited to do. 😂 But that’s exactly why customizing the session matters so much. Being at home, including his puppies, his truck, and something he loves to do made the whole experience feel more like HIM. It helped him feel comfortable in front of the camera and actually enjoy the experience while we got so many great pictures.
This one was extra fun for me simply because I’ve known him for so long. It’s pretty crazy seeing the little kid I remember standing in front of my camera as a senior.
Parents of senior boys, what would your son want to include in his senior pictures to make the session actually feel like him?
