A couple of hours before this session… Erin sent me an email. Little here had a cough… and decided that on that particular day, he was NOT going to have a nap.

She was a little worried. But I let her know we’d let him set the pace for the day. If he wanted to run, or snuggle, or whatever… we’d go by him. No pressure. No forcing smiles. Just letting him be who he was while I did my thing. (Which, for the record, includes years of teaching tiny humans and a LOT of patience.)

You don’t need perfectly behaved kids for beautiful photos. You just need the right person behind the camera. ❤️😘

Oh, Ben. I only just met you, but I can already tell you are wise beyond your years ❤️ you absolutely crushed your Torah portion this past weekend when becoming bar mitzvah and it was so easy to tell how proud your entire family is of you. The BIGGEST of mazels!!!!!

My little guys (proof is in the last pic!!) 🥹 who both happen to be taller than me, but whatever. B is a junior. C started his freshman year. Were they at my house this morning when they left for school? Nope. Did I make them come by after school just so I could hug them and take their first day of school pictures before heading back to Dad’s? Absolutely.

Love you sooooo much my kiddos, to the moon and back. You make me proud every. single. day. Have the best school year EVER!!!!

Two years ago today, I got my headshots taken for the last time. Timehop reminded me (thanks Abe). And I never got to see any of them except for these 2 cell phone image shares. That’s it.

I say this for multiple reasons…
1. I’m also bad at scheduling photos 🤪
2. I also have had not wonderful experiences that make me never want to do them again 🤦🏻‍♀️
3. Apparently I need to go back to Montana to get photos done again 🤷🏻‍♀️
4. I would treat you WAAAAYYYY better than this! ❤️

Photos can be hard. But they can also be easy with the right person. I got you.
