If you missed our post from a few weeks ago, we’re officially retiring Lumin from new bookings. Beginning today, all inquiries will be directed to two separate companies, but our work will have the same look, feel, and dedication to quality as it had with Lumin. This company taught us so much about being great photographers, the power of collaboration, keeping clients happy, and what it takes to run a business. As we move on, we’re going to carry those principles with us.

Last weekend I had the opportunity to meet Sarah and Dan to photograph their engagement session. We had two locations mapped out, and although one backfired due to an event, we found a back-up location that was unique and ended up working out perfectly! I love and appreciate when couples are willing to adapt in the moment when things don't pan out according to plan.

I've been waiting for this shoot since my phone call with this couple - they are lively and have their wedding plans mapped out and moving right along. I truly can't wait to see them again next year for their March, Cleveland wedding! -Whitney

To all our followers: When we started Lumin, we NEVER anticipated that business would grow so much, so quickly. This last year and a half has been an incredible journey, and we wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world!

Due to natural changes in course, and after much consideration, we have decided to start booking weddings separately. Beginning today, we are going to put a hold on booking any new inquiries. Please check back after July 15th for more information on how you can book with one of us. Thank you for falling in love with Lumin with us, and for your continued support!

To all our current couples, those who are waiting for shoots, and those waiting for final images, as well as the newly engaged who inquired prior to today: everything is business as usual! We’ve sent you an email with more details. :)

Lindsey and I first met Alexa and her Matron of Honor, Despina, in April of 2015. It was right when we first started meeting with potential couples to learn a little bit about their wedding day before booking. It was at that meeting that Alexa introduced the idea of a 34 person bridal party...not including the 12 children!

WOW. We were nervous...maybe even up until the day of...but were willing to take on the challenge, and are so glad that we did! After seeing the decor at Alexa's bridal shower we knew this was destined to be a beautiful wedding, and it certainly exceeded our expectations.

Alexa and Nicky were surrounded by the love of their family members and friends throughout their entire special day. Linds and I learned a lot about many beautiful Greek Orthodox wedding traditions. Everyone was ecstatic for the bride and groom and their joining families.

I knew when I first met Katie and Justin at the engagement session that their wedding would be a blast. It was a long day on Friday (15 hours!) but I honestly wasn’t even tired by the end of it. I think that’s what happens when you are truly enjoying yourself :) Close family, awesome friends, beautiful details, and the most gorgeous summer day. Congratulations Katie and Justin!
