Featured in Washingtonian Weddings! Emma & James’ stunning black & white (with hints of gold) Washington DC wedding was featured today! Some of my favorite things about this wedding include the grand staircase where they had their first look, the 200+ (!) candles and white roses throughout their reception space, the bagpiper which paid tribute to the Bride's Scottish heritage, and the watercolor seating chart map designed by the the Bride's sister with locations that were significant to Emma and James. Such a beautiful wedding day. Congratulations, Emma & James 🤍!

Emma & James’ film engagement session at the National Mall was one of my favorites this year 🤍.

Before every engagement session, I send each couple a guide with outfit inspiration, hair and makeup advice, timeline details, and location suggestions. Then, during the session, I walk them through many different poses of varying levels of difficulty.

Thank you, Emma & James, for following every step of the guide (from coordinating outfits, to cleaning your ring, to hair & makeup, and gorgeous shoes!) and trying many new poses! I love when it all comes together and I can’t wait to photograph your wedding in Washington, DC next fall!

I took this photo during our last evening in Positano during a sunset boat cruise with . I was struck by the way the light fell on the mountains as the birds flew over the fishermen. This ride was one of my favorite memories from our trip.
