Kayla & Nick's engagement session started at the historic Indiana Repertory Theatre.

The old architecture, dramatic interiors, and moody light fit them immediately. It had that grand, somewhat mysterious feeling to it.

The light did a lot of heavy lifting for us - soft dramatic shadows, warm highlights, and atmosphere that made everything feel intimate without trying too hard. It was one of those spaces where we didn’t need to force anything, just let them exist in it and let the room do what it does.

For their engagement photos, Maggie & Avi wanted to keep things close to home.

They both live in Avondale, so we spent the afternoon at Avondale Bowl - a place that’s already part of their life together.

The kind of spot you can walk to, grab a drink, bowl a few frames, and just hang out for the night.

Doing their session there felt right. It’s a place they already spend time, so it naturally feels like part of their story.

Nelson & Hany spent Valentine’s Day walking along the Chicago Riverwalk - overcast skies, a mild February afternoon, and the city moving like normal around them.

Nelson had been planning this one for a while, and we coordinated ahead of time so it all felt natural.

Right by the water, Nelson got down on one knee and everything paused for a second.

We stayed along the riverwalk afterward, walking, talking, and letting the moment catch up while downtown kept going around them.

Lauren & Jordan spent a late-winter day in downtown Chicago - cold air, quiet streets, very much February in the city.

We started outside and lasted about as long as you'd expect. A few quick walks, some laughs, and working fast between spots while trying not to freeze. They were fully committed though - dressed up, and willing to make something.

We wrapped things up in their hotel room just as the sun started to drop. That late-winter light came through the windows and gave us a completely different feel to end the day.

Chris & Clare love winter, so we leaned into it.

We met up in Delafield, grabbed some coffee and spent the afternoon wandering through town and the trails.

Cory & Alyssa had one request for their engagement photos.

They wanted to do them somewhere that actually meant somewhere to them.

So we went to their local grocery store.

Outpost Co-Op in Bayview is part of their routine. It is where they shop together, debate snacks, figure out dinner, and just do everyday life side by side. Not a flashy location, but a real one. The kind of place that quietly holds a lot of their relationship.

They fully leaned into it. Running through aisles, hopping in carts, and somehow turning a normal grocery trip into something that felt really fun and really them.

Huge thank you to the team at Outpost Natural Foods Co-op for being so welcoming and letting us hang out and create in a space that means a lot to Cory & Alyssa.

Started 2026 with Skyler & Patrick's proposal at the Chicago Cultural Center.

In our conversations leading up to it, Skyler mentioned wanting "Succession" vibes - not just in how it looked, but how it felt.

The scale of the space gave the moment room to exist, but their dynamic stayed steady and quiet within it.

We ended the afternoon at the Chicago Athletic Association with a few drinks and a few frames in the photo booth.

Brittany & Kristin's engagement session at the Milwaukee Central Library felt exactly like them - excited, connected, and fully in it together. They picked the historic Rotunda simply because they loved the look of it, and it was the perfect backdrop of how they move as a pair.

We spent the late morning wandering through the staircases ans balconies. Between the shots we traded stories and let the space guide us.

Brittany & Hasan's engagement session was a gentle, honest reflection of who they are. We spent the early evening in that late-autumn golden light, letting their hobbies pave the way - Brittany crocheting with quiet focus, Hasan strumming into the wind.

Drew & Emma's wedding at Nourish Farms felt like them - joyful, heartfelt, and a little unexpected in the best of ways.

Their first look was one of those moments that will stay with me - Drew was completely speechless seeing Emma for the first time.

The day unfolded under early fall light, surrounded by their people. We even made a stop with the groomsmen at Kwik Trip to visit the beer cave, which checked off a wedding photography bucket list item for me.

The night ended inside the barn, full of dancing, laughter, and the kind of energy that makes you wish it didn't have to end.
