Maggie & Avi got married at Prairie Springs on Park in Milwaukee, surrounded by bright colors, wildflowers, disco balls, and so many laughs.

Every part of the day felt like them - from the streamers framing their ceremony and Avi's burnt-orange suit to a reception filled with thoughtful details wherever you looked. It was colorful and the two of them rarely went more than a few minutes without making eachother laugh.

Once the dance floor opened, the energy only grew. Disco balls filled the ceiling, drinks were raised, and nearly everyone found their way onto the checkered floor before the night was over.

Kathleen & Andrew got married at the Morton Arboretum's Thronville Education Center - spending the day bouncing between its historic rooms and the gardens.

The ceremony was outside on the patio, short & sweet, surrounded by the people closest to them. The whole place gave us a lot to work with, from streaks of window light inside to the late summer greenery.

Allison & Jay got married in Chicago on a day that didnt slow down.

We wandered through alleyways and murals for portraits, stood underneath the Blue Line as trains rattled overhead, and let the city do what it does best.

Their ceremony matched that energy - everyone coming down the aisle was met with cheers, Allison worked an impressive amount of fishing puns into her vows, and it all felt loose, loud, and completely them.

Then the drag queens showed up - a first for me at a wedding, and easily one of the most energetic performances I've ever photographed.

H&M: Blush and Braids Beauty Bar

Madison & Bryce's engagement session took us through the Wisconsin State Capitol in downtown Madison.

The early morning light poured through the building, carving its way across the marble and bringing out all of the intricate detail throughout the halls.

We leaned into the scale, the shadows, and the drama of the space, while still making room for the quieter moments between them.

Caleb & Zoe were married onstage at Constellation - an intimate Chicago music venue, beneath hanging stars and warm stage lights.

Their closest family gathered around them on the floor while the rest of their guests filled the theater seats, creating a ceremony that felt both intimate and theatrical.

The character of the venue gave us room to create portraits that feel dramatic and striking, while still holding onto the quiet interactions and honest moments happening throughout the day.

Every detail felt deeply personal - from the dress Zoe made herself to the quilt patches guests signed.

It was a day shaped by their creativity, surrounded by the people closest to them, in a space that allowed everything to feel unmistakably their own.

Terri & Ken's wedding day was simple, personal, and genuinely fun from beginning to end.

They shared their first look on the gardens at the same park where they would later be married on the dock. Their ceremony was rooted deeply in their faith and in the life they have built together.

Afterward, they made their exit in a convertible with the top down, exactly as you would on a summer wedding day, before joining their guests for bar dice, drinks, and other games.

The evening stayed easygoing with speeches, dances, great desserts, and plenty of time to simply enjoy being surrounded by the people they love.

Cory & Alyssa were married outside beneath the trees.

They described their day as "a cozy rustic garden party" and "a sunny flowery woodsy tavern experience" which ended up feeling exactly right.

After the ceremony, everyone made their way to Oak & Antler at Brown Deer Golf Course, where the German-inspired architecture and warm tavern atmosphere gave the reception its own distinct character.

Their vows spoke to the weight and meaning they hold in each other's lives, while their friends and family cheered them on throughout the day.

Cory and Alyssa gave themselves the freedom to simply be themselves, which allowed us to move through so many settings and make images that felt playful, unexpected, and honest.

Elizabeth & Brandon were married in the backyard of their home on a breezy early summer afternoon.

Lake Michigan was only a few blocks away, and you could feel the chill coming off the water.

Their home made the perfect backdrop for a small ceremony surrounded by a handful of their closest family and friends.

There were bubbles floating through the yard, drinks shared around the house, plenty of time with family, and portraits made in the same place where they are building their life together.

Abbie & Nathan's engagement session started along Lake Michigan in Milwaukee.

We were hoping for one of those golden hour evenings, but the weather had other plans. So instead we leaned into blue hour and the quiet of the woods.

The cool light settled over everything - the trees, the creeks, the shoreline - and gave the whole session this calm, still feeling.

We wandered through the forest, made our way down the water, and somehow ended up making a few raccoon friends along the way.

Haley & Greg's engagement session started early in downtown Chicago.

We met along the Riverwalk and spent the morning taking in the city, the architecture and the very blue Chicago River.

From there, we headed over to the Art Institute gardens, which felt like the right spot to end the session since it was where they had one of their first dates together.
