Images by Rita Specializing in Maternity, Newborn, Seniors, Kids & Family Photography in the Fort Mill SC / Charlotte Metro That was over 15 years ago.

I picked up a camera for the first time in a high school photography class. Being able to look through the viewfinder and capture life as I saw it was magic. I instantly fell in love and have been taking pictures ever since. A few years later, a close friend used one of the pictures I took at her wedding for her thank you card, that's when I began imagining photography as a profession.

I just need ONE picture for my holiday card

My kids can’t handle a long session

My husband can’t handle a long session

I don’t want to spend an arm and a leg on pictures

It’s been years since our last family photo and all of the kids are now taller than me

I really want to give back to my community

SIGNUP WILL OPEN ON OCTOBER 27, 2026

Sessions will take place on Sunday, November 15th, rain or shine.

Sessions will be 5 min each (teeny tiny) and will take place between 2:15 - 4:15pm

Location: will be finalized the Sunday prior to the sessions.

The fee is $225. Proceeds will be donated to a local charity to be named in a few weeks.

The session includes a minimum of 3 but no more than 5 lightly edited digital images. The images are chosen at the photographer’s discretion and will depend on how many quality images are captured.

5 minutes is not a lot of time, so cheerful cooperation is expected from all participants for best results.

Turnaround time will be approx 3 weeks - I am aiming to have all galleries out by December 1st - still in time to send out holiday cards.

There will be no props provided for these sessions.

These will be a mix of traditional images of everyone standing and looking at the camera and a few candid poses.

** Due to the nature of these sessions there will be NO refunds, NO rescheduling will be available, and no schedule reshuffling once you sign up for your time block.

There will be no divine intervention for these - meaning other than a simple edit, there will be NO head swapping, fixing of anything out of place, editing bruises, hair ties, etc. and NO requests for photoshopping or “can you check to see if we got a better shot of my child” will be taken. Please trust that I will provide you with the best options available.

Here’s the thing…

As time passes, there are moments you’ll wish you could bottle up forever. The funny thing about life is that when you’re living those moments, you don’t always realize they’re THE MOMENTS. The tiny fingers, the sleepy stretches, the way they fit perfectly in your arms…

One day, those newborn snuggles will turn into big hugs, little hands will grow, and your baby won’t be so little anymore. And when you look back at these images years from now, you’ll realize they were never just pictures. They were a way to remember how it all began.

Photographing these moments is a gift to your future self and to your children, too. So even when life feels a little chaotic, don’t forget to document the beautiful in-between moments. You’ll be so glad you did.
