Harvest season is now nearly over here in northern Illinois! This is a video from a few weeks ago of my family's farming operation cutting beans just south of Rock Falls, IL.

In order to maintain the best possible seed quality, seed corn is harvested on the ear, then dried and shelled at a production plant. This requires specialty harvest equipment. The OXBO 8840, shown here, is the largest seed corn harvester on the market! Thank you to Green Rose Farms for allowing us to film their seed corn harvesting operation.

In this video we have three Oxbo 5180 detasselers running in the same field.

Often an essential step in seed corn production, detasseling removes the tassels from the female corn, and leaves the male pollinator rows. The male rows pollinate the female corn, which produces seed for next year's corn crop. The male rows will later be destroyed. and the female rows harvested.

An amazing drone video of the I-74 Bridge over the Mississippi River at sunset. The estimated $1 Billion project opened completely in December 2021. This video was fun to make and we hope everyone enjoys it.
