About the click… A single frame time lapse, created with a slow camera shutter. Christmas light strings hang from the ceiling in a very dark room. The weighted lower light ends were released in a sometimes, maybe,  conical pendulum pattern. Using a DSLR and remote shutter release, guessing at long exposure times of five to 10 seconds, a few, out of many attempts, surprisingly worked out.

There are once-in-a-lifetime events and there are unbelievably amazing and epic (choose your favorite adjective) once-in-a-lifetime events. In 2012 the Space Shuttle Endeavour was moved from LAX to the California Science Center to become a permanent display at the California Science Center. with CFN Imageworks has been documenting the facility construction and shuttle preservation. Chuck has three of the new Afidus 4K ATL-800 and a few ATL-200S time lapse cameras catching the action. When complete in 2025 this will be the only Shuttle on display in launch stack configuration with solid rocket boosters and external fuel tank.

Macro Monday is back. From Marie

In this moment I stopped everything in my tracks because my son asked “mom what does it look like”.

When a time lapse camera crosses the line into STEM science for youth observation. 

What is it? This image is straight out of camera. Even my iPhone in zoom couldn’t handle this detail.
