About a month ago my oldest son’s mom reached out to me to do a family photo session. It would be her, her girlfriend and their collective children. I said yes of course and then got hit with the surprise proposal part the next morning! I haven’t ever photographed a surprise proposal, let alone one involving 8 kids! It was definitely chaotic and my husband got to carry the ring and the signs for the kids to hold… haha! But it all worked out in the end and she said yes!
Most people don’t get to say that they have a good relationship with their husband’s ex. But I can. It’s been 23 years now we’ve been in each others lives. My son is the oldest of 10 (soon to be 12!) siblings. And as long as he’s happy that is all that matters to me!

I’ve known Jae just about 6 months now… and in that 6 months I’ve learned that she is one busy young woman! Drama Club, show choir, student council, honor student, after school part time job. I know I’m missing stuff! She is also a big sister and a little sister. Despite her life being so hectic she is still so willing to give her time and attention to others! A quality I admire in her the most. I’m also very thankful for her love for my son and her place in our family these past months.

All my goth and emo dreams came true with this shoot!! I’ve know Bean for many years and was still so honored when they asked me to take these. This young human is one of the best. I really enjoyed my time with Gio! It was like being with one of my sons. We talked as we walked about languages (his family is from Brazil!), our similar tastes in music and life overall. His mom joined him and told stories about his childhood while we were shooting. Along with being a really nice person he’s also an artist! With aspirations to attend MassArt in Boston the Fall! Kayla’s session started out cloudy and ended with the prettiest sun!! We already had to reschedule because of bad weather so that was a great surprise. I didn’t know her before this but we got to chat a little bit during her session. What a great young woman she is! And she’s an awesome dog mom!! She came with her 4 month puppy Reggie and OMG did he want his mama the entire time! He was a good boy though! He did such a good job waiting that I was able to get a great shot with her before we left! ❤️

This Senior session last weekend was another last of a family for me! I had the opportunity to not only take Luke’s pictures, but his two older siblings before him. They are a wonderful family of soccer players and musicians. Mom and Dad included! And Luke is currently the captain of the ORRHS soccer team! On top of being just the sweetest person. We had a fun time chatting and also getting some feedback on his posing from his friends that were there! Haha. There’s no doubt that Luke will go on to do great things after graduation. This shoot was one for the record books!
I left my house only to immediately drive into a rain storm! But once I got to the beach, it was like it hadn’t even rained at all! Ella was fantastic and an absolute joy to shoot!! I’m so grateful to her for trusting me with her Senior pictures. And also for allowing me to throw her in the ocean! Having only just met her that was a big one! Haha! We got so many great shots and then got a gorgeous pink sunset sky!!! When I left not five minutes had passed before the sky opened up AGAIN! It was crazy. I’m so so thankful the sun stayed exactly as long as we needed it!
