My interest in photography started at a very young age. I have always loved how photography has the ability to capture a single, solitary, moment in time and make it virtually last forever. When I was young I didn’t have the slightest idea of how a photograph was made. When I was maybe 14 or 15 my father, recognizing my interest in photography, gave me one of his old 35mm SLRs, a Ricoh Singlex (which I still have to this day). We went to the local camera store and picked up a few cheap, used lenses and I was on my way down a path I am still walking down today. While I was in high school I took a darkroom class and was the photo editor for the school newspaper for two years where I learned a lot about the mechanics of film photography. This stint in the red light gave me a good base of knowledge to build on. In 2009, after a number of years where I was not able to pursue my passions, I finally made the switch from film to digital and made a conscious effort to improve in all facets of photography. Over the years I have accumulated the knowledge, experience, and equipment to tackle any photographic assignment that comes my way.
