Pinch me! I’ve always wanted to photograph a magazine cover… and thanks to ROC City Lifestyle , my dream has come true 🤩. I was so honored to photograph the cover story for their May Issue, which is all about Rochester women entrepreneurs. We had a lovely afternoon at the incredibly gorgeous , and I’m just so thrilled with how this shoot turned out.

A long-overdue share of images from Jen’s headshot & branding session last spring. Jen is a triple threat- an attorney, podcast host, and current president of the Greater Rochester Association for Women Attorneys. It was so fun to create these powerful images for her!

I have a lot of talents, but consistently sharing my work is not one of them 😬. Last year was my busiest year yet, so now that I have a tiny breather I'm really going to try to share some of my favorite recent sessions ("recent" being a very loose term)!

Working with Vicki Lee last spring was such a treat - she needed some branding images to help illustrate her blend of coaching, mediation, and a little bit of soul. She balances grounded, practical coaching and a little touch of woo with her practice . Booking a full branding session gave us the time needed to capture more traditional headshots, some creative in-studio work, AND some on-location work that helped show all the sides to Vicki's offerings.

is up to something really special this weekend as the High School presents the new musical The Hello Girls. It’s one thing to take on a well known musical, but takes guts to tackle something new. With catchy songs and a beautiful story, this show is sure to become a classic- don’t miss your chance to say you saw it before everyone else 😉

The Hello Girls tells the incredible story of the women who served in the US army as bilingual telephone operators during World War I. These brave women were trailblazers, and paved the way for future women to serve in the military (like my grandmother Gloria- last slide- who served in the Navy in the 1950s ❤️)

I was lucky enough to see this show on Monday night when I took these photos. The whole cast is incredible, but the five lead women really shined. I was photographing through tears by the end of the show, and plan to go back this weekend to enjoy it all over again.

Thank you so much to the knowledgeable folks at Pinnacle Hill for leading a fantastic workshop at my studio! Their providers shared mobility exercises and tips for photographers so we can hopefully keep our moneymakers (camera hand, neck and back!) in service as long as possible...

And finally… my own family! I always tell my clients that my family has become like the cobbler’s children who have no shoes- as soon as I started offering Christmas photos to my clients, our own went right out the window. Nate and Claire always help me out with my holiday sessions though, so occasionally I remember to grab some photos of us before we leave for the day. We may not have coordinating outfits, and I may have broken a cardinal rule of photography and left my phone in my back pocket (🤦🏻‍♀️), but I’m glad we at least have these sweet photos to commemorate 2025. Oh- and I’ve got a plethora of ridiculous photos of Claire and Nate from when they were helping me test lighting (keep scrolling 😅).

No matter what or how you celebrate, I hope you and yours are having a wonderful holiday season. Thank you for everyone who came in to share your celebrations with me!
