Seven years ago today, I filed the paperwork that made this little dream official.

Seven years of learning as I go.
Seven years of trusting my instincts.
Seven years of building something slowly, intentionally, and with a lot of heart.

I feel incredibly grateful for a career that lets me work with the kindest women, the ones who show up as they are and allow me to photograph them honestly and beautifully.

I’m thankful for a business that gives me space to express myself creatively, to tell meaningful stories, and to uplift women along the way.

Grateful for mornings where I get to sleep in, with my fur babies piled into bed beside me, and for spontaneous lake days when the light feels right and I decide to go.

This work has introduced me to friendships I never could have planned, to other creatives who inspire me and remind me how powerful community can be.

And truly, none of this exists without the people who have supported me along the way. If you’ve ever stepped in front of my camera, trusted me with your story, liked a post, shared my work, sent a kind message, or quietly cheered me on from afar, thank you. I don’t take that support lightly.

The last seven years have been more than I imagined, and I’m so thankful for every part of it. Here’s to what’s next. 🥂

Over the past few weeks, I photographed six women, all arriving at different stages of their lives, carrying different stories, different hesitations. Yet they each said the same exact thing the moment they stepped into my studio:

“I've wanted to do this for so long.”

Every woman had her own reason for waiting.

Maybe she didn't think she was photogenic.
Maybe she felt too awkward in front of the camera.
Maybe she believed this experience was for other women, not her.
Maybe she told herself she needed to change something first, or feel different, or magically wake up brimming with confidence.

It's interesting, isn't it? How often we hold ourselves back from the very things we want. We wait for the circumstances to be perfect, for the stars to align, for permission we don't actually need.

But here's the part that always gets me, every single one of those women left their sessions absolutely loving their photos.

These words feel like proof of something I see over and over. You don't need to arrive confident. You don't need to feel photogenic. You don't need to change a thing before you say yes to something that's been tugging at you.

You just need to want it.

So as we close out this year and start imagining what 2026 might hold, maybe let this be your December reminder. If there's something you've been carrying quietly, something you've been meaning to do “someday,” maybe this is your sign to stop waiting for the perfect moment.

Say yes to the thing you want.
Say yes even if you're unsure.
Say yes even if your voice shakes a little.

I'll be here, cheering you on, ready when you are 🥂

Lately, I’ve had a few women tell me they’ve been thinking about doing a bo***ir session for years. They’ve saved photos, followed along quietly, and waited for the right time.

And I get it.
It’s easy to tell ourselves we’ll do it later, when we feel more confident, more in shape, more “ready.”

But here’s the truth no one really talks about.
Confidence doesn’t come before the session.
It happens because of it.

When you finally say yes, something shifts. Not in a dramatic, life-changing way, but in a quiet, powerful way that only happens when you decide to show up for yourself.

You laugh more easily. You stand a little taller. You stop rushing past the mirror.

You see yourself, really see yourself, for maybe the first time in a long time.

That’s what happens when you finally say yes.

If this has been sitting in the back of your mind for a while, maybe it’s time to stop waiting for the perfect moment and let this be your moment.

I have a few winter sessions open, and I’d love to create something beautiful with you.

So many women tell me they want to book a bo***ir session but they’re waiting. Waiting until they lose a few pounds, waiting until their skin clears, waiting until they finally feel ‘ready.’

But here’s the truth: the most powerful time to do a bo***ir session is before you feel ready. When you’re still doubting yourself. When that inner critic is the loudest. Because the moment you step in front of the camera, you prove her wrong.

Bo***ir isn’t about arriving at some final version of yourself. It’s about seeing your worth exactly as you are, right now. And that shift in perspective is where the empowerment really begins.

Recently I found myself mid-laser hair removal session having a full-blown internal debate.

Smooth legs make me feel more confident. I feel more presentable, a little more polished, like I have my life together.

But on the other hand... why do I feel less attractive just because I have leg hair? Something every human has?

I get mad at society for making me feel that way.
Then I get mad at myself for falling for it.

It’s a weird tug-of-war. One minute I’m over it, and the next I’m riding high on three days of fresh blowout confidence (thank you dry shampoo).

Maybe beauty rituals can be both.
A little ridiculous. A little influenced. And still totally worth it.

I don’t know. Just wanted to share the honesty of it. We’re allowed to feel good in our skin, even if we have complicated feelings about how we got there.

If you’ve ever had a similar moment, I’d love to hear about it. What do you do to feel beautiful? And how do you feel about it?

Sorry about the mountain lion sighting!

She popped by the studio for a quick bo***ir session and, well… she understood the assignment.

She’s on her way home now, but don’t worry, her album will be shipped out in about a week or so. 🐾📦💋

Catch me at the lake this summer...
Half-dressed, fully unbothered, and probably lying in the wildflowers.

Lovely on Location is coming, bo***ir sessions outside, under the sun, with nothing but a breeze and a little bit of boldness.

Consider this your unofficial invite to run barefoot, get sandy, and feel so damn free in your skin.

More details dropping soon. But for now? You might want to start romanticizing your favorite swimsuit.
