I want to share a secret with you.

During sessions with littles they are going to have big emotions because (this is crazy…) the studio is so fun!! We have wooden toys, rocking horses, teddy bears and in Stewartville the perfect dance floor.

Watching your kids have all the fun playing with the items we brought into the studio to help entertain your littles brings me so much happiness. Why? It’s simple!! My goal is to make pictures fun for everyone. That way next time you say “we are going to get pictures done” your children are happy not sad.

Grooms. Historically most grooms showed up the day of their wedding to everything the bride has planned. I’m going to be very frank, this isn’t the truth anymore. I am seeing a beautiful trend that men are becoming more and more hands on.

This doesn’t change the fact that our grooms tend to have an easier morning. Embrace it!! Find an activity you enjoy or offer to help complete your wedding day vision. Today you are marrying your best friend!! Don’t put pressure on yourself to show up as anything but your authentic self.

No shade but each partner has a very different morning. Speaking about my brides and grooms here specifically. The brides morning is generally more chaotic. Frankly, by the time I arrive it’s a level of beautiful chaos. Most people are about halfway put together. The room is messy, champagne has been popped, the tunes fill the air.

My preference is to walk in a room with an intoxicating amount of hair spray and slightly off pitch singing. Your wedding day is met to be celebrated all day. When I start my coverage I like to ease into pictures. I start with details because it allows me the opportunity to walk into your experience without stepping in. After I capture your perfectly planned and thought out details we will ease into the next highlights of your day based on your ideal timeline. There’s no guideline and no rules. The morning may like a little more chaotic for my girlies but it’s honestly beautiful. That moment you are surrounded by all do the humans who have built you up and allowed you to grow into the person you are today.
