Subjectively Objective is a photo book publisher and contemporary photography gallery curated by Noah Waldeck. The type of phrase you could picture as the subject of an Ed Ruscha painting, Subjectively Objective features work that depicts the world from the photographers personal perspective. Work that says more about the way the artist sees, than it does about what they are seeing. Subjectively O

bjective’s signature projects include the twice monthly Mini Monograph Series (small 10 page publications, each dedicated to the work of a single photographer), and our Instagram Gallery with curated 12 image artist features.

If you happen to be in the Detroit area, I want to invite you to the opening for the new exhibition I curated Saturday, February 7th, from 6-10 p.m.

The Language of Landscape & Place is an exhibition of contemporary landscape photography featuring student work from a new class of the same name that I developed for the College For Creative Studies in Detroit last year. Featuring work from Nicolas Cetrone, Julia Fortin, Christian Kirby, Adriana Sapia, Norah Sawyer, Nicholas Talerico, & Kylie Zito. I’ll also be joining in with some new work of my own that I shot during the class last semester.

Everyone who submits can use their submission fee as credit towards purchasing the resulting book, regardless of whether their work is accepted. Accepted artists will appear in the book, online exhibition, and physical exhibition at our Detroit area gallery space.
