Apparently this was exactly what I needed at the end of a long week. 🦋✨

Meet Lemon & Penny, quite possibly the cutest Butterfly Princess duo we’ve ever had in front of the camera.

Lemon absolutely understood the assignment — wings, wand, smiles and all the fairy magic. And then there’s Penny… who may not have been quite as convinced about her new career as a butterfly. 😂🐾

These two had me smiling the entire session, and I couldn’t think of a better way to wrap up my Saturday.

Here’s a little preview from their Butterfly Princess Session today. 🦋🌸

I’m pretty sure Lemon is going to love these photos for a long time…and someday she’ll get an even bigger kick out of the fact that Penny dressed up right alongside her. ❤️

✨ SENIOR PREVIEW — TAYLIN ✨

Okay, Taylin absolutely understood the assignment. 😍

We photographed her senior session last Sunday, and I LOVE how much variety we were able to pack into it. From the wildflowers and rocky riverbank to getting right into the water, every spot gave us something completely different.

And that floral dress in the river?! 🔥 Easily one of my favorite looks from the session. Taylin was up for anything, including getting soaked, and those ended up being some of my favorites.

Here’s a little sneak peek while I finish up the rest of her gallery! ❤️

some parents mentioned they were missing photos from yesterday so we went ahead and loaded ALL the images just as a safety. This will include, eyes shut/messup shots, but just out of caution to make sure everyone's child is in there, you can look through the undedited gallery. The edited versions should still remain in their gallery, too. https://lifeworksphotographystudio.pixieset.com/steppingstonesprek/

🦋 FINAL CALL — The Fairy Garden Opens TOMORROW! ✨

Tomorrow, we're turning our garden into a little bit of magic. 🧚‍♀️🌸

Our Butterfly Princess Mini Sessions are happening Saturday, August 22, and this is your last chance to grab one of our remaining sessions!

Because someday, the fairy wings won't be quite as exciting.

But you'll still have the pictures. 💕

Have to take a second to brag on my oldest today. She decided about two weeks ago to step of her comfort zone and participate in a the Miss Lincoln Highway Heritage Festival pageant and won! Here are just a few images I took. I sent messages to all of the parents participants so they could download their images for free as well. We also want to thank the committee for another outstanding year at the festival. The time/effort all of you put in as a community is well appreciated, especially when mother nature makes it difficult.

One of our favorite times of late summer and start of the school year is providing free 1st day of school portraits for the Pre-K kids. The kids were all so fantastic today. If we photographed you today and you'd like to download them for free, follow this link: https://lifeworksphotographystudio.pixieset.com/steppingstonesprek/

Our sweet friend Lulu doesn't have a lot of time left, so we recently spent an evening with the Alford family documenting something that has never been in short supply in her life — love.

For 11 years, Lulu has been part of this family. She's grown alongside these kids, been there for ordinary days and big moments, and given them the kind of companionship that only a really good dog can give.

And looking through these photographs, that's what I keep seeing.

A kiss on the head. A hand buried in her fur. The way she looks up at the people she trusts completely. And that big Lulu smile right in the middle of all of it.

There is never enough time with a good dog. Never.

But what a beautiful thing it is to reach the end of a life knowing that you were someone's family. That you were adored. That you belonged.

Lulu, you've lived a life absolutely overflowing with love.

And when it's time to cross that Rainbow Bridge, I hope somehow you know just how deeply you're going to be missed. 🌈🐾

For now, though, we're going to celebrate you.

Here's a little preview from Lulu's session with her people. ❤️
