Apparently this was exactly what I needed at the end of a long week. 🦋✨

Meet Lemon & Penny, quite possibly the cutest Butterfly Princess duo we’ve ever had in front of the camera.

Lemon absolutely understood the assignment — wings, wand, smiles and all the fairy magic. And then there’s Penny… who may not have been quite as convinced about her new career as a butterfly. 😂🐾

These two had me smiling the entire session, and I couldn’t think of a better way to wrap up my Saturday.

Okay, Taylin absolutely understood the assignment. 😍

We photographed her senior session last Sunday, and I LOVE how much variety we were able to pack into it. From the wildflowers and rocky riverbank to getting right into the water, every spot gave us something completely different.

And that floral dress in the river?! 🔥 Easily one of my favorite looks from the session. Taylin was up for anything, including getting soaked, and those ended up being some of my favorites.

Have to take a second to brag on my oldest today. She decided about two weeks ago to step of her comfort zone and participate in a the Miss Lincoln Highway Heritage Festival pageant and won! Here are just a few images I took. I sent messages to all of the parents participants so they could download their images for free as well. We also want to thank the committee for another outstanding year at the festival. The time/effort all of you put in as a community is well appreciated, especially when mother nature makes it difficult.

Our sweet friend Lulu doesn't have a lot of time left, so we recently spent an evening with the Alford family documenting something that has never been in short supply in her life — love.

For 11 years, Lulu has been part of this family. She's grown alongside these kids, been there for ordinary days and big moments, and given them the kind of companionship that only a really good dog can give.

And looking through these photographs, that's what I keep seeing.

A kiss on the head. A hand buried in her fur. The way she looks up at the people she trusts completely. And that big Lulu smile right in the middle of all of it.

There is never enough time with a good dog. Never.

But what a beautiful thing it is to reach the end of a life knowing that you were someone's family. That you were adored. That you belonged.

Lulu, you've lived a life absolutely overflowing with love.

And when it's time to cross that Rainbow Bridge, I hope somehow you know just how deeply you're going to be missed. 🌈🐾

For now, though, we're going to celebrate you.
